Dawn took some steps towards Nick, carefully not to make any noise.
AHEM!!
Nick whipped his head in her direction, and upon seeing her, he finally relaxed. He had not thought she would show up any longer and resigned his fate.
She came down from her horse and led it in his direction. Nick moved as well, taking several steps in her direction.
They walked up to each other and stopped in the middle. Rather than saying anything to her, he rubbed her horse's mane first before returning his gaze to her and greeted her horse.
"I missed you," he said to the horse, nuzzling his face on it.
'Is he trying to make me jealous?' she thought to herself.
Needless to say, even though she knew he was doing it intentionally, she just rolled her eyes and walked past him, leaving him to tend to his newfound love.
Not getting the reaction he had hoped for, he spoke to her, his attention still on her horse. "I see someone is jealous
