Chapter 33

Landrews requested the presence of Brady and Celus early the next morning. He was sitting in his office working on paperwork when they found him.

"You wanted to see us?" Celus asked with slight annoyance. He left Salen in their bed still fast asleep. She whined slightly when he had to leave her, but she eventually rolled over and started to snore slightly.

"Yes, come in and close the door behind you." Landrews waved, not looking up from his pages. Brady and Celus just shared a confused look before doing what he said. 

After a few minutes of silence, Brady leaned forward in the seat across from Landrews and cleared his throat. "Is-is something wrong?" He stuttered as he struggled to keep his confidence. Worry clouded his face as the Alpha King continued to work.
