Chapter 6

Winter was cleaning the floor,

her mother’s order; she has to follow. It’s was the fifth time she was cleaning the same floor.

There was tension going on in her home. Today when her dad came back from work, he literally smashed every decoration of house on the floor. He was furious and, she found many articles and magazine, which have mentioned the downfall of her father, and that explains the anger.

After cleaning everything, she was about to walk away but heard a scream from behind her. She turns around to find Sophia with two big bags on the floor, she was groaning in pain.

Winter wanted to laugh at her but composed herself.

“you bitch !!! Don’t you know how to wipe the floor dry, I slipped because of you “ she cried in pain. Winter helped her to stand up but was pushed away.

“say the fu*k away from being you shit!!” she shouted.

The maids came to her rescue; they picked up the bags and led Sophia on the couch in the main hall. They served her water.

“Sophia !!” Her father voice eco in the whole house.

Sophia almost spills the whole water out but compose herself. Winter shivered from the strong voice.

A heavy footstep was heard as their father dashed to ward her, followed by her mother, who was stoping her father. “George she is our daughter calm yourself down darling, don’t shout.” she said

“shut up!! It’s all because of you, you have spoiled her too much, “ he shouted and slapped Sophia . Winter and her mother eye widen, it was the first time in her life that her father raises his hand on Sophia, Winter backed away afraid that all the anger will be bust upon her, she doesn’t want to get involved, she stood far from that place.

Sophia fall on the couch sobbing while holding her cheek .” I have never asked you anything, but one’s once I want you to do something for me, but you stupid girl ruined everything .” he shouted at her.

“Can’t you seduce your own husband, what’s the need of your beauty, why don’t Aspin agree to inherited and invest, you because of you I have lost everything, my company and that stupid spin”.

“Pack your bags you people we are leaving from here, do you hear me pack your bags. immediately” he shouted.

Sophia stood there not knowing what’s, was happening, why were they moving? What happens with Sophia and her husband? why was she back with the bags?

Winter’s father, Mr George William sold his company, his house and all the property to pay off his debts.The news was everywhere, he didn't hear of his son -in -law, but he feared one thing that, Aspen and his father would surely come after him or Sophia, he loved Sophia, and as a father, he wanted to protect her.

He had prepared everything, everyone was ready to move, but when all got in the car he stops Winter.

“you can leave on your own now, as you know we are not that rich anymore, so we don’t have enough to fed you or to keep you with us you have grown up, and you can not leave on your own .” Her father spoke with a stone, cold voice.

Winter stopped in her track, she didn’t believe what she just heard, Winter jaw dropped, and her eye opened, how cruel can they be, how can they abandon there own daughter. Her eyes filled with tears as she fell on her knees.

“Father, you can’t do this to me, you know I have nowhere to go, don’t do it please” She cried, holding her father’s leg.

George smirk “ it’s my final decision, you were just a mistake, and bringing you with me will be a burden to us like extra luggage,” he said

Winter look down with humiliation,” please father I am your daughter too what did I do to deserve this, why didn’t you kill me when I was born, why did you raise me.” She shouted and sobbed.

“Please father I will do anything you say, I have followed every word of your never ask for anything, please father don’t leave me alone please . “ she cried holding her father’s leg begging him to take her with him.

“ok you can come with us, “ He said, folding his hand.

Winter smiled wiping her tears Thanking her father “thank you so much father, thank you so much fo-“ but she was cut off.

“you have to do something before that, “ he said, now looking at her face.

“Sophia and Aspen will be divorcing today, we are going to court, but you have to promise me you will do whatever I say, without any rejection .” He said with an evil smirk.

Winter has no other choice but to agree, so she hesitantly nodded her head.

“Good girl”.

Aspin saw the smiling face of Sophia; she looked so happy getting a divorce, and I was here with an aching injury on my whole self. He thought.

“We shall let’s get this over with as soon as possible”, Sophia spoke annoyed, Aspin feel a lot but there were few words to pay, you know when the grief is greatest, the word is fewest.

“ Do you want to say something, Mr warren? “ the liar asked. Aspin looked at Sophia straight in her eyes. She gulped.

“do you… do you ever loved me ?” he asked

“no” Sophia replied straight. With an arrogant smirk.

Aspin looked at Sophia with an angry look. The lawyer handed the divorce deed to them. “Ladies first,” he said.

She grabbed the pen with her quivering hand, Aspen closed his eyes, not allowing the tears to fall as she signed the paper.

Half of the marriage was over, The paper was passed to him, and he looked at Sophia who was looking at him, he scoffed and grabbed the paper signing on his area too. The whole marriage is over now.

“It’s not just his marriage which has ended, his reputation, his respect in his workplace which he earned had ended too. He trusted the wrong person, which lead him to his down fall.

Aspen closed his eyes , taking a deep breath, he opened his read eyes.

“Why did you do this??” he asked her.

Sophia scoffed “oh darling let me tell you the most truth about you. you are awfully handsome never seen a someone like you a good husband material, but you lack Bank balance babe” She smirked.

Aspen aura turn darkened her glared at her and grabbed her neck . “you will regret this, just wait I will come after you, you will be begging me to stop, you will see” he pushed her away and walked out.

He had promised something to himself and will fulfil it for sure.

Sophia gasp was air as she looked Aspen figure fading from her eyes. The truth was she was scared,  so scared.

Sophia‘s father, mother and winter entered the lawyer office after Aspin walks out.

“Everything is done,” he asked the lawyer, and she nodded. Giving a document to him.

“Now winter you told me you would do anything, sign this paper,” he said Winter looked confused at her father and was about to read, but her father stopped her.

“just sign it you don’t have to read it,” he said  Winter wasn’t sure it was sure that she doesn’t trust her father, but she had no choice. But just signed the paper.

George smirked and handed the paper to the lawyer.

“so my dear the daughter you two will exchange identities, you are Sophia now winter you will live your life as Sophia “ do you understand my daughter’s.
