Chapter 3

Ava Celestine

Multitasking. My hand on my hips, while the other one is scrolling on my phone, and my eyes, are battling to the phone and my dresser, thinking which one should I wear.

Blue... Black... That one.

Maroon it is. I quickly picked the suit and wore it. It is an above-knee skirt, a white tube inside, and a blazer with slits on the side and four buttons.

I picked up white pearl heels that match my suit. I walked over to the mirror and put a Matte Ink red lipstick by Maybelline on my lips steadily so no smudges with a last glance on the mirror. I left my room with my bag.

I am not choosy with the clothes but the president of our company orders that our clothes must be decent and presentable one.

Joshua is nowhere to be seen so I decided to leave a note that I already go to work.

I took a cab since Josh is not coming to me today. Today is probably his off.

As I enter the company. Cleah's eyes shot to me and she quickly hid under her desk. I chuckled in my head and continued to walk.

I put my bag under my desk and slammed my phone on it. "Someone's is in trouble right now." I sang, eyeing her. Cleah's face smiles at me sheepishly; faking innocent on her face.

" You can come out now. If Mrs. Lambert sees you in there. You will probably get a note." I warned her sarcastically. She didn't think twice and came out under.

"Ahh... Yes... My fault--No his fault... He gave me the wrong address." She stuttered, fidgeting her fingers.

"Then."

"I got drunk and I didn't get your messages." She said sheepishly and clamped her bag. “But, I have something for you." She added and dug in her bag.

She pulled and wave in front of my face. "We have vouchers at the most unique club, only the owners of the biggest company can go there."

I glared at her. " You know, I don't drink. How about no."

"How about I join you shopping for your mom and sister box?" She said as she wiggled her eyebrows.

She knew that I couldn’t say no. I asked her once to shop for my family box like chocolates, clothes, and many more so if I get home in my hometown where they are.

I love my mom very much. She works hard just for us to eat at least twice a day and pay some of the bills. I have saved money in case if there are debts we have.

"Well for that Ms. Cleah," I said with a long pause and offered my hand. "It's a deal," I said and she gladly accepted it.

Our big clocks ticked at exactly 12. Everyone around the floor stands at the side.

What's wrong with them?

I watched Cleah fix her makeup and button her blazer.

"Cleah, do we have a client that we need to greet?" I asked still confused about what's going on.

" Yes...No-- The secretary update me late. Just this morning but Mr. And Mrs. Lambert is the one who will welcome him." She said and removed the flats she is wearing and replaced them with heels.

I picked up her folder to check who is the visitor but she tugged my wrist. "Let's go. Owner of the Blade Rush Techno" she said and pulled us out from the desk.

That is the answer to why she is fixing herself. We are about to see one of the youngest billionaires; he is the fourth.

I don't see him in any news or any platforms because according to the social media account. He will sue a reporter or paparazzi that post his pictures.

Zayn Grey, Blaine Texer, and Jacob Miller are the top three youngest billionaires.

We all stood by the entrance. One black sleek Lamborghini parked in the middle. 2 bodyguard cars were parked on both sides.

Mr. and Mrs. Lambert walked and we bowed our head slightly.

The door of the Lamborghini opened before a man with leather shoes step out. The bodyguards surround him.

"Can I ask the guards to move? I really want to see him." Cleah said in a daydreaming state.

"Keep dreaming Cleah." I deadpanned. She didn't have time to protest.

Our security opened the glass doors. The men entered as I heard the girl employees’ squeals while I just remain on my face with a welcoming smile.

"Blake... My hero..."

"I love you, Adam!!!"

Cleah moved her head up left, right, up, and down. "Arghh... Excuse me...." She whined irritated and try again.

"Sir...Hello." Clean waved her hand in a direction. I moved one step and accidentally an emerald- blue pair of eyes pierced at me.

Shivers ran down my spine and I moved a bit to release that feeling.

I froze for a moment and came back to reality. His eyes are still looking at me intently.

Mrs. Lambert tapped his shoulder. He turned to look at her and bodyguards surround him again.

In a blink of my eyes. They started to walk away.

"You may go back to your department." A voice echoed the whole floor.

Cleah held my arm as we walked like a turtle because she is still daydreaming.

"He saw me and gave me a curt nod but he averted his eyes. I think he saw a beautiful girl beside me." She stated sadly as I stayed quiet.

As soon as we stepped our feet in the reception desk. "Did you see the pretty girl beside him, his P.A to be exact?" She asked.

"No, " I shrugged.

"She assembles as you. Am I hallucinating?"

"There are many people that look alike. Duh..." I replied in a duh tone.

"According to my workmate there. She received an Audi R8 from her boss that is Mr. Ecollin. I think they have a relationship."

"I told you before stop listening to rumors. That rumors have nothing to do with us or to them." I sighed in disappointment. I already scolded her many times but she won't listen.

"Sorry, Ava..." She mumbled.

People always believe in rumors or gossips without surely known that it is a fact or false.

Just like my mom believed. She didn't let me explain.

I wonder what they are doing right now and how are they doing?

Is my mom eating 3x a day? Is she still working 24/7 just to pay the bills? How about my sister? Is she suffering from dad? Because --every time-- it was almost every day that my dad was home. Our mom forgets about us.
