Except for the eating time and using the washroom, Ryan was asleep all the time, at least he pretended to. He was quite good at it.

We arrived at our resort at night. A woman named Ms Ara was waiting for us in front of the reception. She escorted us to the villas' area of the resort.

The entire place looked so beautiful. Even though it was night, I could see the resort was built using local materials, bright colours and stylish furniture with the interiors designed to reflect the Maldivian culture.

The roars of the sea brought a smile to my face as we walked to the overwater sunset pool villa. Grandfather already told me about this beautiful villa. He and my grandmother had their honeymoon here.

"Please, call me if you need any help." Ms Ara said after she handed me the keys to the villa.

"Thank you." I replied with a smile. I realized I have been doing it a lot. Where was old cold me?
