Instead of going home, I asked him to take me to Emma's place. She's at home. Her shift had just ended. My body landed on the soft mattress of her bed as soon as I arrived.

"Hmm, I miss your bed," I silently said. I can hear the sound of her heels as she walks back and forth.

"Are you going out tonight?" I asked.

"Yes, I'm going out with Trevor."

My eyes opened, and I rolled over enough to see her face.

"Oh? Are you dating him?"

She pressed her lips together and then smiled with a grin.

"He's my boyfriend now, Lizzie," she proudly said.

"Oh, really? Wow, congratulations! He got you alright. I'm happy for you, Emma." I stretched out and got up. Then, I sat down on the edge of the bed.

I'm not staying here. I only need some fresh air. After that heated conversation with Elizalde, I felt ashamed of myself.
