Third Person's POV Aiden was horrified when he saw Xander throw Abigail over his shoulder. ‘Oh my Goddess, what happened? What did she do wrong?’ Aiden wondered. The Omega began to panic. He didn't know how to help his sister. He was terrified Xander was going to hurt his sister or worse, kill her. The sound of a loud smack made the Omega jump. ‘He's definitely going to kill her!’ Aiden thought as he tried to think about how to help her. The Omega becomes more panicked when he realizes he's too small and weak to take on Xander. Sensing the Omega's distress, Thaddeus reaches over and gently grabs his chin, turning the Omega's face toward him. The Alpha gently cups Aiden's cheek and strokes it with his thumb. Big doe eyes stare into Thaddeus's eyes, and the Alpha's heart clenches when he sees how scared he is. “It's okay, calm down. She's okay. He won't hurt her. They're just playing around. Xander would never hurt your sister.” Thaddeus said as softly as he could. Almost imm
Third Person's POV When Aiden fell and was scooped into Thaddeus's lap, he thought he would die of embarrassment. It didn't help that when he pulled back and looked at Thaddeus, he saw amusement dancing on his face. It only made the Omega's face feel hotter, and he quickly hid in the Alpha's neck again. When the Alpha kissed his head, Aiden's stomach felt like it somersaulted. It caused a warmth to spread through his chest. No one had ever given him affection before. No one had ever hugged Aiden, let alone kissed him. The only things Aiden received were hate and pain. Since he's been here, he's received everything but hate and pain. Aiden takes a deep breath in, and the Alpha’s strong and dominant scent fills his nose. He smells incredible! Aiden presses his face closer to the Alpha's neck, loving this new feeling and being close to him like this. He loved feeling his arms wrapped around the Alpha, and he loved it even more that Thaddeus's arms were wrapped around him. The way hi
Third Person's POV Thaddeus decided it was finally time to get some answers. He wanted to know about Aiden and Abigail's past. How they were separated, and exactly what happened to Aiden in his old pack. “I haven't been able to get her to talk about anything that happened to them. She said she wouldn't tell me without talking to Aiden first.” Xander said as Thaddeus stretched behind his desk. The Alpha had been stuck behind his desk all morning and afternoon and was ready for his work day to end. For some reason, all the scouts that have been closely watching Michael's territory suddenly disappeared. Thaddeus and Michael would normally be happy about that, but it's leaving a bad taste in their mouth. Thaddeus feels even more uneasy at their sudden departure, then he did with them watching Michael's territory, and his along the side of his territory that borders the river and Michael's territory. When Thaddeus begins talking about it to Xander, the door opens and he stops talkin
Third Person's POV Aiden listened to Abigail as she spoke. He tried to wrap his head around everything she said. It was a lot to take in. Not only does he have a sister, he has a twin sister. ‘Powers, since when do I have powers?’ The Omega wondered. Aiden knew he wasn't strong, he was weak and pathetic. If he had powers, then where were they when he needed them? The Omega wondered… The hardest part for Aiden was hearing what happened to their family and pack. His heart clenched. He could almost picture the scene as she spoke. The Omega was glad he didn't have those memories. It was one less thing to hurt him. Thaddeus caressed Aiden's back, trying to comfort him. When his sister stopped speaking, Aiden looked at her. “W-Why don't I r-remember any of this? W-why don't I remember you?” “I don't know. What's the last thing you remember after we were separated?” “I don't remember you or being separated. My first memory was when I was a little boy. I was scared, lost, and sta
Third Person's POV Aiden's thumb swiped against the Alpha's cheek, and he felt the wetness of Thaddeus's tears. Thaddeus squeezed the Omega tighter when he realized he was crying. The Alpha only recalls crying twice: once when his father died and once when his first mate rejected him. Now, he's crying again after learning what happened to Aiden. Xander, who was sitting on the floor in the corner holding Abigail as she cried, stood up, wrapped his mate tightly in his arms, and left the office. When the door closes, Aiden slowly pulls back. His hand rested against the Alpha's cheek as he searched his face. The Omega is shocked to see the Alpha crying. The Alpha reaches up and takes the Omega's face into his hands. “Baby, I'm so sorry that happened to you. I'm sorry, I should have looked for you. I should have found you. None of that should have happened to you,” Thaddeus's voice cracked as he spoke. The Alpha rests his forehead against Aiden's, and his thumb caresses his cheek.
Third Person's POV Aiden races up the stairs and past the Alpha's apartment. He swings his door open and is once again amazed that he has his own room and his own bed. Not an old sleeping bag that he found in the garbage. Not a damp, dark, cold basement, but a beautiful room all to himself. The Alpha gave him his own room a week ago. Along with a room, he has a closet full of new clothes and a bathroom with a shower all to himself. The Omega loves his shower. Every chance he gets, he takes one. He blushes when he remembers taking two showers yesterday. He couldn't help it; it felt so good standing under the warm water and letting it get beat down on his body. It's much better than a bucket of cold water. The Omega bounces into his closet and lets his eyes roam. It is full of clothes, all belonging to him. Everything fits him perfectly. He doesn't need a string to keep his pants up or a thread to sew the holes closed. Everything is brand new and just his size. “A date!” Aiden sa
Third Person's POV Xander knew Aiden's Alpha hurt him, but he didn't know how bad it was or the conditions he was forced to live in. Xander didn't know what was worse, hearing how Aiden had to live or what the sick, twisted son did to his Luna. Xander has never hated someone so much. He's never wanted to kill someone so badly. The sound of her cries doesn't let the Beta focus on his feelings. He holds his mate tighter as he carries her up the stairs. He knew how much it bothered him to hear what had happened to his Luna. He couldn't imagine how bad it was for Abigail since that was her brother. Wet tears soak the Beta's neck as he walks down the hall and pushes his door open. Her warm breath fanned his neck. He hears her take a deep breath in as she presses her nose to his scent gland. Xander tilts his head, giving her better access. His lips press against her head as he walks through his apartment and enters his bedroom. Xander sits down on the small couch in his bedroom. He p
Third Person's POV This time, Aiden was cautious as he went down the stairs. He didn't want to run into anyone again. The Omega wanted to be as invisible as he could. As Aiden came down the last flight of stairs, Thaddeus came into view. He saw the Alpha waiting for him by the door. He wore black washed jeans with a hole on the right knee and another high up on his thigh near his pocket on his left leg. The Omega thought holes in pants had never looked so sexy as they did on Thaddeus. The Omega's eyes go higher to the black fitted t-shirt that hugged the Alpha's body, leaving nothing to the imagination. Every large muscle on Thaddeus's arms and chest bulged in his shirt, straining against it. Aiden thought if the Alpha flexed, the shirt might rip. Aiden couldn't stop looking at the Alpha's muscles. The short sleeves strained against his large biceps. Aiden licked his lips as his eyes wandered to Thaddeus's chest and raked over the large peaks of his pecs, pressing against the shi
