Chapter 54 A New Power

Aiden POV

I licked my lips as we were walking to the dining room for breakfast. My stomach rumbled, and I couldn't wait to eat.

Unfortunately, as soon as we entered the dining room, my stomach turned. I tried to ignore it as we walked to the table and sat down. But as soon as I sat down, and the food was in front of my face, the smell of the food was so intense I immediately jumped up. My hands slapped over my mouth as I bolted for the bathroom.

I barely made it there in time. As soon as my face was over the toilet I emptied what little was in my stomach, and continued until I was dry heaving.

I heard Thaddeus knocking at the door, and his frantic voice telling me to open the door.

"I'll be right out, just a moment," I said, then flushed the toilet.

I quickly washed my hands and rinsed my mouth. Thank goodness there was mouthwash under the sink. I splashed a little cold water on my face, then looked in the mirror and saw how pale I looked.
