The play date

A couple of days later, Crimson received a letter from Clair inviting her to go over to her family estate, just as she had mentioned the day before. After reading the letter, Crimson came bursting through the living room door where I was spending time with Walter.

Walter and I were startled by her dramatic entrance. Walter just about managed to push his shock aside to ask her, "What's got you so excited?!"

Crimson's face was beaming with excitement, "Sash got an invitation to go on a play date from Lady Clair Kalious!"

"The Barons Daughter? Why would Sash receive an invitation from the Kalious family?"

"We met at Sash's party the other day. She has a two-year-old daughter that I think would make the perfect friend for Sash, and Lady Kalious agreed with me, not to mention that Sash seems to really like her!"

"If that's the case, when are you planning to visit?"

"I was hoping to take her the day after tomorrow!"
