Samantha

I LOOKED at Jacob, and he immediately avoided my gaze. I don't know if I'm just hallucinating, or he's really staring at me whenever I'm not looking at him. Have I gone paranoid?

Perhaps it's because I was avoiding him for the past few days.

I shook my head and grabbed the remote control. I turned the television on and started searching for a movie. Better not to think of him, besides, he's just my bodyguard.

I didn't find the movie interesting, so I decided to turn the television off.  I pulled myself up and was about to go upstairs when Jacob stopped me by blocking my way. I lifted my chin and met his eyes.

“Are you mad at me, miss Samantha?”

My forehead creased. “No.”

“Then, why aren't you talking to me?”
