Chapter Thirteen

Naomi was waiting for the training to start and Daykan was just staring over her head into space.

Maybe he was looking at one of the TVs stationed on the walls.

She carefully followed his gaze and turned around.

Nope.

There was nothing but a wall in his line of vision.

What the heck could the guy be staring at?

Naomi looked around to check if anyone had noticed their situation. But the gym was pretty spacious and no one was close by; plus it seemed like the patrons liked to mind their business.

She swung her gaze back to him.

Could this be part of the training?

Maybe it was some sort of pre-workout meditation.

But wouldn’t he at least tell her that was what they were doing?

Maybe he was trying to teach her patience.

Hell no! This was purely exercise and not some kinda zen training.

“Coach? Coach???? Earth to Coachhh! Daykan? Daykan can you hear me? Snap out of it.” Naomi drew closer to Daykan and began waving her left hand in front of his eyes to get his attention.
