I could feel how nervous Ella was beside me. Everytime someone approached us to have a conversation with me, she would shrink further behind me, trying to get unnoticed by everyone.

And to her credit, she did go unnoticed except for when her family members approach.

I could tell that she has a very shy nature to her but with how her own sister didn't want her here at the dinner party and how her mother kept shooting her a fake smile, I wondered if she was shy or was just unwanted to the point that she was convinced that she was shy.

I've been carefully watching everyone around the hall and I did manage to catch her mother glancing our way.
