Why was Ava even surprised? Of course, he didn't break up with her. He had dealt with alot of the things she had done over the years and so the incident to him was probably just another usual thing that Klaire does. Maybe she should have stepped in when he asked for her help so that their relationship could have ended permanently. It's not the first time she had been asked to help with a breakup. Ava would provide tips and ideas but never actually be there for it. But she would make exceptions in extreme cases if needed.
