Chapter thirty three: Marry me?

My voice echoed in the room. Butch paused, his hand freezing mid-air with the buzzing needle. The smell of the alcohol got stronger and the buzzing sound of the tattoo machine got louder as I waited for his reply.

He looked at me incredulously and blinked. "What? Is this some kind of joke?" he questioned, laughing.

"Let's talk in private," I said, realizing that a lot of eyes had turned to us.

"Alright. But you have five minutes," he replied as he stood up, wore his clothes and followed me outside.

The night air was cool and windy. As the cold air wrapped around me, a gentle breeze played with my hair, sending shivers down my spine. I hugged myself tightly, rubbing my arms in a futile attempt to ward off the chill that crept beneath my skin.

"Are you cold?" He asked without any emotion in his eyes.

"Yeah, it's a bit chilly, but I'll manage,"I shrugged.

He arched an eyebrow, his expression unreadable. "Why wear a sleeveless dress in weather like this?"
