Chapter Eight

HELENA’S POV

The sun poured in through my window. My first day as a paper wife had just unfolded. The stress from acting like I was happy with the whole marriage stuff. The moment I fell on my new orthopedic bed I knew I needed to let my body savor the massiveness of the space. I rolled from one end to the other with no single fear of tripping off like I would have done on the bed I had in my father’s house. The feeling this gave me was just imaginable and I can’t even remember if I had any dreams. I was exhausted. The gleam of the light saturated the entire room. I scoured my blurry eyes and strolled to the window. There was a slippery sparkle overhead. The main beams of daylight illuminated the room in its vastness.
