Chapter 8

As we set up for the journey ahead, I was filled with different emotions,

I felt sad that the once happy family I thought I had with Amelia and the rest was messed with, I felt very bitter and full of spite for whoever it was that killed Amelia and put a dent on our once happy family.

I was also anxious and apprehensive about what lies ahead and unsure of what I’ll encounter going forward.

“I think we are ready to move” I announced bringing everyone out of their reverie

“Which way do we go” Devin asked me

“I think we should head south” I decided.

Everyone took one long look at what was once our home and we headed south with me leading the way, Mich was directly behind me, Harry was next and Devin was the last on the trail.

I’m going to make sure I keep everyone safe, that’s what Amelia would have wanted.

“We’ve been walking for a long time; Jasmine do you think we could take a break and probably find something to eat”? Harry asked wearily already slowing down.
