Chapter Fourteen

A week had passed since I got to know about Mike's leave to the training camp. No one gave a reason for his abrupt leave and his contact was off.

Alpha Logan had been avoiding me as a plague and had even ordered me to stop making his meals claiming that he was having lunch with his soldiers at the training grounds.

Nevertheless, I still made the meals and the coffee and presented them on his table but that didn't stop him from sending them back to the kitchen.

I couldn't decipher if the consistent pain in my heart was related to his cold attitude toward me or if it was Mike's leave that I wasn't informed about. Either way, I felt utterly bad within.

"Annie…" Diane called in a high tone as she came to the kitchen.

"Why are you so loud?" This was her attitude whenever she had anything to feel happy about.

She came close to the dishwasher where I was helping and squeezed my shoulder dramatically before speaking.
