7. Confession

Avla's hands were shaking, her breath coming in ragged gasps as she paced her room at the pack house. Her mind was reeling, and her heart felt like it was going to burst out of her chest. The words that Gideon had spoken to her during training were echoing in her mind, each one a blow that cut deeper and deeper.

"Why?" she muttered to herself, tears streaming down her face. "How could he say that to me? How could he?"

Her anger was building, a fury that was consuming her, turning her thoughts into a whirlwind of confusion and pain.

"He doesn't understand me at all!" she shouted, her voice cracking. "He thinks I'm reckless? He thinks I don't care? He doesn't know anything about me!"

Her room felt like a prison, the walls closing in on her, suffocating her. She felt trapped, cornered, with nowhere to turn. The emotions were too much, too overwhelming, and she didn't know how to handle them.
