Chapter 21 Shayla
“Don’t go.”
I look over at Aimee, who picks up my neatly fold clothes out of my suitcase and tosses them haphazardly on the floor.
I sigh, “Aimee. You think if I had a choice, I wouldn’t choose to stay here?” I say, picking up the clothes and tossing them back in the suitcase for the third time. “Cole will be here to pick me up any minute. Just help me pack, please.” I pout and give her my best puppy eyes, and she sighs in response.
Jo walks in with another empty box. “Here, I found this in my closet.” I smile gratefully and take the box from her and start packing up my perfumes and makeup. “Still can’t believe you’re moving out.”
I nod sadly and look up at the girls, “It's only for six months, and I’ll be right back with you guys. I’m still paying my share of the rent, so don’t go letting my room out to anyone.”

I leave the apartment and make my way down the stairs. Suddenly it feels like everything is changing in my life, and I don’t like it. I’ve never lived with a man before. I’m quite frightened, and after what just happened in my bedroom, I can’t trust myself around him. “Ow, shit!”I jump out of bed and rush over to Shayla’s bedroom when I hear a crash and her shout.“Shayla? You okay?” I call out, knocking on the door.
