Chapter 7: You Should Accept the Betrothal Gift fo

Wendy's entire body was boiling, like a boiled shrimp.

"Water……"

She muttered as she lifted the blanket and got up, only to find that the cup on the table was empty.

There was a sharp pain on her forehead, and her pillow was also wet. Wendy suddenly opened her misty eyes and remembered that she had been hit by Jenny last night and the wound on her forehead had not been treated.

Maybe it was the fever caused by the inflammation of the wound; she struggled to get out of bed and stumbled out with the cup in her hand.

She just wanted to drink water happily to dispel the grievance and depression in her heart.

When the door was pushed open with a bang, Wendy suddenly supported herself on the stairs and walked down. However, she suddenly felt a chill.

She felt like she was in an icehouse.

She raised her head in shock and saw a man sitting in the middle of the living room. He was wearing a black suit, and his brows were furrowed deeply as he stared at her fearlessly.

The look in his eyes seemed to tell her that he was going to eat her up, and her father and sister were sitting next to him and looking at him with flattery.

"……Rex Gavyn?"

Wendy thought that she saw things. Her grip on the glass of water tightened, and her footsteps became unsteady. She stepped on empty air and fell directly from upstairs.

"Damn girl!"

Just as she was about to make intimate contact with the marble floor, a force suddenly came from her waist, and a good smell entered her nose.

"Rex!" Jenny frowned and rushed over, wanting to separate the two of them.

However, Rex's aura was so strong that Jenny didn't dare to approach him.

Kincaid's expression gradually changed as well.

Clare was the only one who sighed in his heart.

Wendy unconsciously grabbed Rex by the collar with her pale little hand. "I must have gone crazy from the fever. I can't believe I'm hallucinating. How could you possibly appear here……"

"Wendy Walters!"

Rex's grip on her slender waist tightened, and he wanted to strangle her. His rough fingers pinched her delicate chin, forcing her to look straight at him. He said coldly, "Open your eyes wide and take a good look at me!"

"Wait……" Wendy felt pain from Rex's grip, and tears started to fall from her eyes.

Looking at her tear-stained face with blood on her forehead, she looked like she had been abused.

Damn it; she was fine when he left yesterday!

Rage had filled Rex's face.

After all, Wendy was Kincaid's child. No matter how much he disliked her, he still protected her. Kincaid hurriedly pushed Jenny. "Hurry up and take care of your sister. See if she has angered Mr. Gavyn!"

"There's no need for that!" Rex said as he dodged Jenny. After that, he carried the dazed Wendy in his arms.

This scene surprised everyone present.

Jenny clenched her fists tightly, and her face was pale. "Mr. Gavyn, there's no need to trouble you. We have a family doctor……"

"Nonsense."

There was a sneer in the air. Rex paused for a moment while holding Wendy in his arms. He didn't look back and said coldly, "There's a family doctor. Why don't you bandage her wound?"

This question seemed to come from hell, and Kincaid was so scared that his legs went weak.

When the guards saw Mr. Gavyn leaving, they immediately lined up respectfully and showed their professional qualities in unison. Jenny, who had not given up, asked from behind, "Mr. Gavyn, our wedding……"

Rex didn't stop either. He directly held the little bunny in his arms and strode away.

Clare hurried over and saw Jenny sitting on the sofa in a daze. He kindly reminded her, "Mrs. Gavyn, please accept this betrothal gift on behalf of Second Miss."
