Chapter 17

Lilia gets up the next morning noticing the sunlight seeping through a little space in the curtains on the window. She turns around and notices that Brent is not there. She is about to get off the bed when he enters the room carrying a tray of breakfast.

“Morning love.” he says walking over to her, “I thought, after yesterday, a breakfast in bed would be a nice greeting.”

He bends down and kisses her on the forehead placing the tray on the side table.

“You thought right, I must say,” Lilia says. She felt so happy. After all that her life had been about 2 years ago, she could never have imagined this.

“You are already ready for the day?” she says, noticing that he is dressed in a rugged blue jeans and a maroon shirt with the sleeves folded up to the elbows, looking extremely hot, as usual.

“Yep, I thought I’d start early. There is an old witch whom I’ve known for quite a while. I thought I might start by meeting him.”

“Him?” Lilia asks confused, “Aren’t witches women?”

He laughs.
