Seeing from below, Liam could say that the view was amazing.
The omega was flushed red from his face down to his neck and if the clothes were to be taken off… surely, Davi’s body would be dyed red.
Their position was ambiguous, it wouldn’t be a problem if they were in love. However, there was no love between them. No feelings except that of a buyer and a product. If he were to use the excuse of Niel being unfaithful so Davi can be unfaithful too then he could instantly eat the omega.
After all, they were legally a married couple but never consummated their marriage.
“Hot…” Davi was scratching himself while riding on top of Liam. His body writhing from the lust that brews inside him. “… mmm… hot,” his short slender fingers pop the buttons of his pajamas two and three at a time but before he could finish all the buttons a hand grabs him firmly.
“Stop, Davi.” Liam was at the end of his wits. The inhibitor seems to work really slowly this time. Usually, after he injected it, it miraculously worked in seconds. Was it because there was a strong omega scent that persistently courts his pheromone that it slowed the effect?
Davi whimpered, aggrieved because of the hand that stopped him.
At this moment, Davi was clouded with lust, and his last thread of rationality was taken over by the needs of his body.
“Shhh… calm down.”
Between the two of them, Liam took the responsibility to appease Davi. Embracing the omega and letting out a comforting scent as much as he can. It was tough to hide the lust inside him.
Who could have resisted the seductive and ripe look of Davi? No one. But he had to endure.
Endure.
“Shhhh… sleep. You’ll be alright.”
In reality, Liam’s little man was bursting and screaming to be free. It was painful to bear. An alpha suppressing his desire to mate was a hard battle to win.
After a while, there was a steady breathing of the omega in his arms. The inhibitor had taken effect. Fixing Davi’s clothes, Liam carried the omega to his room.
“Uncle Bert, ask the servant to wipe Davi’s body. Change his clothes with the same style and color. Make sure not to leave a thing to doubt.”
Uncle Bert was standing outside the study from the moment Liam walked towards the closet to take the inhibitor. Opening the closet will alert the butler in time but unless there was another call from the inside, Uncle Bert will only wait from the outside never to step in.
“Understood, Young Master.” The butler answered and before doing the instruction, he asked, “Shall I air out the study?”
“…”
There was no answer. Liam had his eyes stayed on the butler but the butler knew that he was not staring at ‘him’. Understanding what Liam can’t say, the butler smiled and left for Davi’s room.
The next morning, Davi walked down the stairs glowing and happy while Liam on the other hand had visible dark circles and covered up to his neck. “Had a tough night?” Davi asked gleefully. He sat next to Liam and took his cup of milk to drink.
It was the first time that Liam wanted to laugh at himself. The culprit was glowing and asking him if he had a tough night while he… had to stay until dawn to calm the fire ignited by the innocent omega.
“En.”
Davi raised both his feet on the chair and ate comfortably. He had a fork with a hotdog in his left hand and a cup of milk in the other, “Ayoo! you should drink less coffee at night.”
Coffee? Liam lifted his lips a little but not enough to call a smile, “I ate oranges last night,” he mumbled.
“Oh. Oranges can cause insomnia?!” Seeing the peeled orange on the platter, Davi gulped and said while reaching for a piece, “Don’t eat too much… maybe o-one is enough.”
Aside from crab, orange was his favorite because orange was one hard fruit to buy when he was still by his father’s side.
Liam stared at him and then stared at his feet that were crossed on top of the chair, “feet down.” Today, there was no Niel in the mansion, not even his scent lingers. Obviously, the husband of his did not sleep in the mansion last night.
“Why?” his peach blossom eyes appeared much more innocent and clearer than last night. His lashes were not like the other omega that was curvy, his was straight. Aside from his eyes, there was nothing omega-like when one looked at Davi.
But Liam knew how this masculine omega looked when he was in heat. When he wanted to make love… to mate.
“Manners,” he responded.
Davi unwillingly fixed his sitting manners, his lips were pouting and a “tsk!” came out from his mouth a few times. “I’m like this, why change me? It’s not like I’m your cousin’s real partner.”
“He should have married an omega with great manners. I came from a rowdy background, don’t expect me to be good with my manners. What I pick up in my life before can’t be changed overnight.”
All this talk was Davi murmuring while making sure that Liam could hear it. He wanted Liam to help him encourage Niel to reconsider their marriage. Maybe if Liam saw that he was disrespectful and does not have table etiquette then the alpha will endorse for Niel to divorce him.
Who would want a partner with poor manners? No one!
Acting like he doesn’t hear it, he said, “Make sure to be at the office by ten in the morning. Don’t be late.” The alpha sat up and left the table in a large stride leaving a confused omega.
When he came to his senses, Davi hurriedly stood up and ran to Liam’s car, his hand banging on the car window screaming, “Open up! Open up!”
The car stopped and the window rolled down.
“What do you mean?” he was panting but his eyes were full of expectation. It was so clear that Liam felt like he was being pulled by those inky black eyes. “Why… why do I have to go-.“
“Interview.”
He forced his lips not to stretch into a smile but it was one thing he can’t force to hide especially when Davi was given hope to start saving for his ten million divorce fees!
“Really?! I’ll go with you now… just wait for me… five minutes, okay? Wait for me!”
He runs back inside the house and sounds of thuds! Bang! Clang! Were heard even from the outside.
The driver started the car again and was about to continue moving when a cold voice rang from the backseat, “He said to wait.”
The driver works with Liam for three years now and he knew that the young master would never wait for anyone that asked him to wait, not even his grandfather so the driver was surprised and felt like a bucket of water was poured into his body.
He does not understand Liam but he does know now that he can never be on Davi’s bad side.
“I’m here! I’m here… five minutes, right? I’m not late.”
He pulled open the door and sat beside Liam without hesitation. Due to excitement, Davi forgot that he was an introvert or maybe he just didn’t think so much of Liam now. Besides, anyone who experiences rebirth will somehow be fearless.
“En.”
“So, are you going to interview me? What will be your question? Oh. No, don’t answer that. It’s not good to exploit power but don’t make it hard, okay?”
If he passed the interview then he can work. If he can work then the ten million was near his reach.
“The HR will do the interview.”
Davi says a lot and Liam answers a few. But despite that, the two converse like they were used to talking to each other. Nobody knew that the two had never spoken since Davi married into the family.
“What? Not you?!!!”
Oh. Fuck.
Davi thought that when having an interview, it would be the owner of the store that will do it. What will happen to him then?He was not looking for a backer. He knew he should do it through his skills but a backer will be much more useful! Who wouldn’t want it? besides, wouldn’t it be a hundred times better if he knew the person he was talking to even if it’s a little or if you live under the same roof?A new world opened in front of him. When Davi was applying for a part-time job to finance his studies it was always the owner of the store that will interview him. For example, the owner of the convenience store. For example, the owner of the fish stall. For example, the owner of a second-hand clothing store. Why was it different with Liam?! I guess the rich do it differently.“So- so is the HR s-strict?” What was the scariest thing that an introvert like Davi was afraid of? Yes. It was to meet new people. A stranger! He could muster up the courage to talk to Liam because he doesn’t
Walking out of the elevator, Davi did not head over to where the car was parked. It was not all the time that he could stroll around the city so freely. It was already a year since he saw the bustling area of this side of the country. When he was working before, he could only watch as the teens his age walks in a group while laughing and talking about nonsensical topics. He never had a chance to experience that. He never even had a friend to call his own.The high-rise buildings were standing left and right but it does not stop the sun to shine so brightly on him. It must have been saying ‘congratulations!’ on the new life and job he got. A high school graduate but working for a top company was already something he could just dream of before. Today, he was hired as a janitor with a two million clean salary. He was happy beyond compare. Passing through a cake shop, he stopped on his foot and stared at the beautifully designed cake from small to largest. It was impeccable for him th
The next morning, Davi woke up earlier than usual. It was the excitement kicking in. Last night, after Liam left outside the door he watched more videos that could help him in modeling food. Then, he watched a video that will help him become a good janitor! In the video, the guy tied his hair in a man-bun and his mask, then his gloves and face the camera to say, “Let’s do this!” The guy then started to check his cleaning materials, refilled the bottles with fewer cleaning liquids, and left to start his day in a five floors building. While cleaning, the guy explained how to get rid of this kind and that kind of stains. He learned a lot and he felt that he was more ready to start his new career. When the video finished it was already midnight. “Good morning!” he said while sitting at the dining table. “I’ll eat more today so I could have more energy to clean!” He was enthusiastic that Liam had to raise his eyes to watch him.He had not seen anybody from a rich family happy to work a
The sudden stop in his sentence and creasing of his brows made Alexis thought that there might be another problem that arises. It has been a long day before the day even begins. Another problem means another late-night work. “Is something wrong, President?” Liam closed his phone, and continued on his walk as if nothing happened, as if he heard nothing but when they reached the door, he stopped and uttered, “Do new employees need to have welcome parties?” Alexis made a blank look before answering, “President, it has been a culture.” The door creaked and the huge office came into view. On the side was a sofa and a little coffee table. On the other side were cabinets full of trophies and certificates of awards given to the company but mostly to Liam as an outstanding entrepreneur, a rookie businessman, and many others. “Then, why am I not invited to any of it?” The chair he was sitting on was leather, a sturdy one which he likes the most. The number of documents he needed to sign pi
When the time to clock out came, the three members of their small team rejoice turning the small resting area into a chaotic jungle. Brian was planning everything for the welcoming party later while Kelly was rejecting all his ideas. Davi would like to join the conversation but he does not know where to insert. First, he was embarrassed to say something wrong and second, he does not want to interrupt the excited Brian. Even though he felt these, he also felt happiness in his heart. This was his first outing with a workmate and he wanted to try his best not to become the cause of an awkward atmosphere. In reality, even if he wanted to speak, his heart won't allow him to. At this very moment, Davi's heart was pounding so fast from anger and other feelings he can't explain. His face was red from all the suppression of his emotion. An hour before he clocked out. Davi went to the storage room to return his and Mama Chu's cleaning materials. Each one of them had a push cart where everyt
Davi remembered that night when he first saw Liam. The alpha was wearing a three-piece suit with shiny shoes. He entered the loan sharks office full of the musty smell and cigarette smoke. The alpha’s beauty and bearing were out of place, one could not help but notice him. Even in his desperate and miserable state, Davi still had a chance to admire his beauty. However, that was all. “How much is he?” That was the first words he heard from the alpha’s lips. A voice so soothing to the ear but the words he spoke were like daggers, his voice full of cold and chill. “Has he been touched?” “H-he’s still a virgin, Mr. Noah.” The President of the loan shark quivered at every question that Liam spoke that day. “I’ll take him.” No matter how much he admire Liam’s beauty, it was all a shame that the alpha was another perverted bastard that wanted his body. What else can an alpha want from a nobody like him? Liam was obviously a rich man… he could have any omega he wanted. Surely, he will
Working in the company as a utility worker was not the same. Others started their work at four in the morning, others at seven, and very few at ten o’clock in the morning. They were the very last person to leave the company, ensuring that everything was clean before closing. They were also the people who knew most of the gossip inside the company, who partnered with who, who relieves their lust in the bathroom, and who were against who. Nothing could escape their ears but it was also their silent policy to keep their mouth shut. After all, having a job was better than living as unemployed. They were walking in the hallway and like it was a hobby, Mama Chu kept checking every corner they pass through and wiping it if she sees even a tiny stain, “Kiddo if ever you see two people in the corner where cameras don’t reach, run.” She pat his shoulder and added, “Don’t listen to people’s secrets. It is for your safety.”Brian and Kelly nodded in agreement to what Mama Chu's said, "Yeap, l
The mansion was well-lit outside. Just entering the huge gate, there will be lights lined up to brighten the path. On the left side of the gate, just five meters away was a small pond with different colors of koi fish. Surrounding it was yellow light enough for someone strolling to see the wiggling of the small and big koi. If one walked further, a hundred square meter pagoda was standing condescendingly as if telling people to look at it, I’m built to protect! It was so arrogant that the corner of it shone even during the night. On the right side of the gate was a wide lawn that could be used for games, picnics, and parties. Located further from this was a small natural forest preserve and well taken care of. A few fruit trees were added and sometimes servants came here to pick fresh fruits in season. The mansion was not in the center but situated in front of the small pond and if one stand outside the balcony, this was the view one would see. At this moment, Liam was standing
