CHAPTER 9: Fault

"Boss Drew," Sarah's voice came through the intercom, "Mr. Victor Panganiban, the owner of the Italian Club, is eager to meet with you."

Drew had kept Victor at bay in recent days, fully aware that the man was grappling with the fallout of causing significant damage to the Walton Group. The extensive fire damage had led to a breach of the leasing agreement, particularly with regard to safety standards. Even if Victor were to liquidate his other two restaurants, it wouldn't suffice to settle his debt. In a memo to his team, Drew had explicitly taken charge of Victor's case, leaving everyone bewildered, and Victor well aware of the dire situation.

"Please, show him in," Drew instructed.

With that, he set aside the document he had been poring over. Moments later, the office door swung open.

"Please, come in," Sarah's voice welcomed the visitor. She ushered Victor into Drew's office before discreetly exiting to grant them some privacy.
