EVENING TIME
Arthur was reading a book in his library when Jeremy walked in.
"Sir, would you like to see them now?"
"Yes." He replied after a while without glancing away from his book
"Then I will have them prepared and send them in at once…"
"There is no need for that. Take me to them instead…" He stood from his seat and dropped the book back into the bookshelf.
"But sir…they are not washed up yet…" Jeremy protested, surprised with Arthur's sudden desire to meet the girls by himself.
"It's fine. I will just take a look. They wouldn't match after all." He said, a hint of disappointment waxing his tone. He had given up on finding his mate. It is only to satisfy his conscience that he kept on looking knowing it would all turn out futile once more.
"Ah, yes sir." Jeremy led the way to the room where the new girls brought in were kept.
"Uh…sir…you can't go in. They are not cleaned up yet…" the lady housekeeper tried to stop him from getting in.
"It's fine. Move."
She mumbled words of apology and shifted out of the way and Arthur walked in with Jeremy.
There were a total of six girls in total. As soon as they saw him walk in, they became aware of themselves at once and wore their best smiles.
Well, except for one person; Elisa who merely shrugged with a scoff and a scrunched up nose.
"Arrogant Alpha…" she cursed under her breath.
"Who said that?"
"Huh? What?" The girls were surprised. No one has heard a word.
"Did you hear anything?"
"No, I didn't. Did you?" They whispered, casting surprise glances amongst themselves.
"Who said that?" Arthur asked again, this time coldly.
"I did." Elisa said nonchalantly.
Next, there was a cold silence in the room as Arthur's aura engulfed the entire space sending fear into the hearts of the girls. The sound of the tiniest pin if fallen at that moment wouldn't have been missed. Only the thudding sound of his shoes could be heard as he started towards Elisa who has now begun to fret.
"How does an arrogant Alpha behave?" His voice was low yet dangerous. Enough to vibrate Elisa at the spot.
"I…I'm sorry…" she stuttered apologetically. She couldn't believe he had heard her despite how low she had murmured. Oh shit! She forgot he was an Alpha. He could hear the tiniest voice even from a reasonable distance.
A low grunt came from the room after the one they were in the next moment.
Arthur got distracted, halting in his tracks. "Who is in there?" He flashed Jeremy a look.
"Urh…I'm sorry sir. It's nothing important. I will take of that now."
"Hey! Get me out of here right now!" A loud voice boomed from the room followed with a couple of bangs at the wall.
"Why is she not here like the rest?" Arthur questioned Jeremy.
"She…she is human…" Jeremy was going to say but Arthur already started out of the room and walking towards the other room leaving him on the spot.
"Sir…you can't go in…" He half screamed running after him. He had only kept the human girl there and was going to let her free after her friend was either accepted as the Alpha's mate or rejected. He couldn't risk letting her learn of their nature. On no account should he allow Arthur meet a human. His worst enemies after the vampires. Sometimes it was even hard to tell if he hated the humans more than the vampires.
But before he could get to him, Arthur had opened the door and got in.
"Oh shit! This is messed up!" He groaned, hitting his back at the wall afraid to step in. It was clear to him he had gotten himself in trouble. Can he bear the wrath of his Alpha?

ELEANOR'S POV
As the men grabbed us, a strange smelling handkerchief was placed over my nose. I couldn't feel my breathing anymore and even my whole body became so weak. Soon the face of Elisa I was seeing started to turn blurry and funny until it finally vanished. Darkness was all I saw as I drifted into oblivion.
I woke up afterwards not knowing where I was. I could hear voices of young girls coming from a different room after mine. My hands and legs weren't tied as I thought I would.
"Who were those huge men?"
"Where have they taken Elisa to?"
Different questions rang in my head to which I couldn't find the answers. I sought for the door to escape but it was locked and I couldn't get out. I had only one option left. Crazy as always.
I started to bang at the wall seeking attention. I didn't mind if they ignored me at once, I was going to hit the wall until they let me out.
I continued to hit and scream until the door of the room finally opened and a figure walked in.
I had never seen a man so handsome and young. I could have sworn a perfect sculptor molded him, blessing him with every perfect feature. I felt strange. A certain fragrance I had never smelt anywhere emanated from him. But then he looked nothing like the huge men that kidnapped me.
"Who are you?" I asked as my eyes looked up to meet with him.
He was mute for a split second. I couldn't figure out what he was thinking but his eyes narrowed and twitched at me.
"Who are you?" He repeated my question.
"Hmmph! I asked you first? By any chance, are you among the ones that kidnapped me? Where is Elisa my friend? Did you hurt her? What have you done to her!" I growled angrily.
He started to approach me with calculated steps. His steps were domineering and mean. Cold shudders climbed my shoulders. Next thing I see myself stepping back as if to escape from him.
He stopped a few inches from me. "Do you not know who I am?"
"What? Who are you? The president? Should I know you?" I scoffed. He looked surprised with my response. Such absurdness! Who is he that I should know him. He must be thinking so highly of himself.
The door flew open. A man dashed in.
"Sir…please may I have a word with you outside"
"Urh you!" I pointed at the new man that walked in. He was among the men that kidnapped me.
"Why did you bring me here? Where is my friend!"
He ignored me and focused on his boss he had come for. His boss stared thinly at me for another second before turning on his heels.
"Hey! Get me out of here!" I grabbed the other man's coat.
He turned sharply at me, startling me.
"Stay calm and you will leave unhurt." He said in a warning tone before he left.
"Hey! I will kill you once I get out of here!" I yelled at his back before sinking to the floor hoping he kept his words and let me out of this shit hole of darkness.
ARTHUR'S POV"You have a lot to explain." I said with a serious face as soon as Jeremy joined me outside. "I'm sorry sir…""Jeremy…" I called with a deep voice, cutting him short. "Yes…yes sir…""What do I hate most?""Apologies, especially at the wrong time, disloyalty, loose mouth, weakness."I look at his face briefly. I should punish him for not doing his job properly but then I made a mental note to let it slide since there is something more bugging at that moment. "Then speak." I commanded. "She is a friend to one of the girls but…but she is…" he stuttered with his head bent. I looked at him closely. I could tell that whatever he had to say must be something that could rile me up. Jeremy knew me better than anyone. He rarely fidgets like most people in my presence but seeing him behave this way tells me something was up. "She is human…"The word human echoed in my head. Whatever he had muffled next couldn't make it into my ears. Whilst my body numbed for a moment, the word
WRITER’S POVDashing into the hideout, Arthur growled loudly which showed he wanted to be all alone. His men who were training there all vamoosed. The thought of having a human mate made his blood boiled. Events of the last time he went hunting when a human hunter nearly killed him made it even worse for him to accept his fate which he only saw as terrible. He put a call across to his beta, Dennis and before the next thirty minutes Dennis had arrived. He called Jeremy too. They are the only ones he could confide in that moment. He needed someone to tell him he was having a nightmare…anything just to end this terrible fate of his.“Bring her back to me.” He said to Jeremy who stared at him utterly confused.“Her? Who are you talking about?” Dennis interjected, confused as well.“Fuvk! I must be going crazy…” Arthur muttered incoherently with a troubled sigh. He shuffled his hair making a mess of it.Then he stood abruptly and faced Dennis squarely. “If by any chance you find out you a
“Hey Elisa!”“urh…hi Eleanor…” Elisa stuttered surprised to see Eleanor. The moment she saw her, she remembered their ordeal in her pack. “What a surprise…I thought you would be lying like a log of wood right in bed by now…”Eleanor collapsed onto the bed with a deep sigh. “Well, I guess so but…then I find it really strange. Elisa, I can’t seem to get a vivid picture of what happened to us after…after we got kidnapped. Did you meet those huge men and that really cold one amongst them? How…how did you get home…I mean how did we get home…”“Relax Eleanor, relax…take a deep breath okay…it’s all good now. I mean we are back and home and safe and that is all that matters.”Eleanor shrugged. “I can’t just seem to get it out of my head. I feel like something else had happened…” she chewed nervously on her fingers biting off the slightly overgrown one of her thumb finger.Elisa paused. A lot of things on her mind that has got her confused. How did Eleanor hear her mind linking her father? She
Eleanor woke up feeling feverish and weak, as if she had lifted heavy weights the previous day. She moaned and then bit her lips hard as she rolled on the bed while shutting out the sharp pain she felt all over her body.Slowly, she squinted her eyes open, the left one first and then the right one. She could see a figure but it was blurry. She just shook it away concluding that she was only dreaming. The beautifully painted ceiling of the room, although hazy in her sleepy state couldn’t dim its beauty and brightness and struck her sleepy eyes. Eleanor felt like she was in a dreamland. A wonderful one at that. One she wasn’t sure she wanted to wake up from.“Oh heavens, my head is banging…” she groaned and stretched, stifling in the yawn that tried to escape her lips.“Why am I seeing this face…am I still dreaming…oh my head…” she stretched a bit more. But then the figure kept starring right back at her, without moving an inch.“Huh…” her eyes flew open. She rubbed her eyes with her ha
“Let my friend go!” Elisa gritted at Arthur. She had followed Jeremy after they kidnapped Eleanor to the pack. “It gives me no pleasure keeping your friend with me. I just need to be sure of a few things.” Arthur said as he flipped through the pages of a book he was reading. “Have you no idea? She is human! What could you possibly do with a human? Didn’t you always hate her likes? Why then do you have her in your house?” Elisa retorted. “That is why I must hope to be wrong!” Arthur flared up. His eyes spat dangerous sparks. He flung the book away with so much annoyance and got to his feet. “Do you think I am pleased to have such blood in my house? huh… I really do hope the moon goddess get back to their senses as soon as possible.” “She is your mate?” Elisa asked, shocked. Arthur didn’t say a word. That automatically answered her question. She blinked, cold chill washed down her skin. “No…that can’t be…she is really human…” her voice trailed off in disbelief. “Tell me all you kn

ARTHUR POV’S“Send her back to her people. Make sure to wipe her memory clean of everything she must have seen here. I want her gone before tomorrow.” I said to Jeremy as soon as we got back to the pack. Jeremy stared at me with widened eyes and dropped jaw. “Are you sure you really want her gone?”“You obey my orders Jeremy and don’t question me.”“Of course sir.”Dennis followed me. “Think carefully about this, Arthur.” He said matching my pace.“You have a few days until you are thirty-five dude! I hope you are well aware of that!”I said no word to him as I walked into my room and shut the door. I just wanted to be left alone. I grabbed my towel and headed into the wash room. Coming in contact with some of the humans made me feel dirty. Yes, I hated humans and even though I knew I was doing a stupid thing getting rid of my mate whom turned out to be human, I couldn’t feel a bit bad about it.Getting into the washroom, I climbed into the bath tub, switched on the water and let it c
ARTHUR’S POV“What was that? I mean who is she?” Samantha asked as she watched Jeremy carried the human girl away.I stared at her wondering if now was the right time to tell her everything.“Wait...” she sniffed the air and then her eyes rested on me, peering. “The girl being carried out stinks of human blood…”I shrugged. How had I had forgotten the power Samantha possesses as a werewolf. One of the strongest she wolves in my pack. Her sense of smell was great and her strength beyond words. Reason why I loved her.“Arthur…I’m right huh…she is human, what is a human doing here, right under your nose?” she asked, bewildered.“It just happened. Jeremy will take her back home. Come on let’s head back in.” I rounded her to start walking back to my room.“She is your mate.” She dropped as I walked past her.The words boomed behind me and caused me to halt in my tracks. I couldn’t hear any other sound as Samantha’s words reverberated in my head. She walked to where I stood.“Arthur, she is
