"Ruby, wake up!" Zacharias patted Ruby's cheek several times. He and his anxiety were moving away from negative conjectures.

A thumping sound stopped Zacharias who was about to rise to his feet. The person who rolled and stopped right in front of his feet had taken his focus. The person rose to his feet with some difficulty and when their gazes met, the person only displayed a smirk.

"I was just trying to avoid an attack from a rogue because he was trying to attack my shoulder which is still recovering. I didn't mean to roll on the ground, it was just a spontaneous dodge," he explained as he straightened out his tangled hair and clothes.

Zacharias let out a long breath. His long legs took a step toward Zaire and handed Ruby to the man. "Take Ruby to the hospital. Your shoulder should also be checked."

Zaire was shocked to see Ruby's lips and cheeks covered in blood. "What happened? Why is she spitting up so much blood?"
