Chapter 18 ARCTIC WOLF PACK

ATHENA'S POV

“Athena.” I heard the vampire say. My eyes slowly found his face. It had a curious expression to it like he was trying his hardest to read my mind. “Are you OK? You look pale - well, paler than before.”

“Yes, yes, I'm fine. I just zoned out for a second.” I flexed my shoulders to regain my composure.

“I see, but could it be because I mentioned the Arctic Wolf Pack?" Pi lifted his left brow while he intertwined his fingers. My shoulders tensed once more. “You've heard of this pack before.”

“Listen bloodsucker, you'll leave the girl alone, and besides, that pack has been extinct for over two decades,” Maggie interceded when she noticed the conversation was getting uncomfortable for me.

Maggie was studying me now like it was the first time she was seeing me.

“Why are you staring at me like that?” I asked her.

“Nothing, child,” she sighed, still keeping her piercing gaze on me.

“Come on. Are we going to pretend that she doesn't look exactly like the she-wolves from that pack,
