Chapter 65: Rumour

The pressure in the living room turned somewhat suffocating after my declaration. In silence, they all stared at me, with mixed expressions visible on their faces.

“And why is that?” Alpha Everest, broke the silence, after some moments. “What Aloha Brutus suggested might not be hundred percent right, but that's the only option.”

I glanced at him not saying anything for a while, before finally saying. “Uh, let me ask you one question. What's the duty of us all?”

Aloha Everest's face turned into a confused frown. I could tell he knew I was up to no good, but just couldn't pinpoint what it's.

Every other person's face turned tense also. They all had the same thinking just as Alpha Everest. I don't need to look much, because it was clearly written on their faces.

Knowing he couldn't read my mind, he finally responded. “The duty of us all should be protecting our people.”

I gave a small smile at his response. “Then, don't you think of following Alpha Brutus' plan and taking a ri
