3. Shit, She's In Danger!
Alan ran faster than the speed which the light passes with, cutting through the trees, crushing the leaves under his feet and following her smell with a bleeding arm. He shot his eyes in his surroundings to look for her. She hardly ran for a few seconds then also it seemingly occurred difficult to search her.
Inhaling a breath of disappointment with his failure for not being able to find her, Alan growled loudly. His dangerous roar resonated in the forest. "Where can she go all of a sudden!" he roamed here and there, insanely breathing like a monster.
His fierce wolf was about to take control of him since he was more powerful than his human form, crazy and lunatic. But Alan anyway attempted to keep his wolf in control and find her on his own. However, the more his eyes roamed in the context to spot her figure the madder Alois grew.
'Let me take over Alan, I don't want to stay mate-less any more. We can't let her go! Let me take over, Alan!'
Alois demanded shrieking with every word he uttered. His growls were breath hitching.
"I am afraid I can't do it. She already assumes me to be a vile rogue."
Alan took steps further searching for her in the bushes if by any chance she was concealing herself from his eyes.
"I will find her, don't worry. Trust me I am equally crazy as you but please stay calm, I cannot let you out. You will kill her in your madness." Sensing Alois' whine , Alan sped up his quest before his wolf could demand for domination over him.
Focusing sharply on the situation, Alan tried to scan the area. He fell under extreme levels of anxiety. He jumped up over a rock to get a better view of the place, and hopped down off it when caught the smell of her uneven breaths and scared warmth.
"She is there." Murmuring that to his wolf, he ran for his life with all his strength until he neared her.
No sooner he crossed a few metres ahead than his eyes widened in extreme shock.
"Blimey!" His expressions defined a small swallow cannot make the summer. Yeah, if he got his mate and the curative herb all at once then he was also encountering severe events now.
One of them was in front of him.
"Stay still, don't move." warning her with his peepers fixating on the danger ahead, Alan made his moves as he stood alert. "Stare in its eyes, don't look anywhere else. It will give him an opportunity to attack you otherwise" He continued taking another step.
There was a big panther standing across her over a few metres away. He was prepared to attack while Lisa, baffled and scared, stared at him with teary eyes. "Please help me." her plea fused his heart. She sounded so helpless and frightened.
He was really happy that she asked for help then also Alan hated to see her appearance. She was standing with a mysterious aura surrounding her. Her wounds, those scars spoke something, her royal gown within the dirty cloak defined she was hiding something and lastly the medium sized side bag made up of fine fabric indicated she was going through something, it was yet to be discovered.
"I am here to help you, stop fretting. Don't look away from him." She seemed convinced, he smiled proudly. She was trusting him.
Alan moved backward moving his peepers in the surrounding to look for something that can be used as a weapon. If he had been alone and no Lisa there then the fight would have been interesting and the panther's death painful nonetheless he can't do anything as she was standing on the edge of the valley.
She continued to obey his words, shivering woefully as she stood under the gaze of the cat that looked hungry. The panther took a step ahead, freaking her out in a way that she fell back on the ground and her eye contact broke. Howling severely the panther jumped up in the air to pound on her.
The event was so nerve chilling that her lashes latched together preparing herself to engulf her death defeatedly; however, the panther never pounded on her! Yeah, she was still there, waiting to feel its weight on her body but it never happened. He never came!
Intrigued and perplexed, just when she opened her eyes to see the panther, Lisa grasped holding her mouth at the scenario in the front. Her tears streamed down in a chain slipping through her cheeks. She clutched her mouth suppressing her sobs, unable to look at the heart wrenching prospect.
The panther laid on the ground under him while he attacked on its neck with a sharp edged wooden stick making a wave of blood rush out. It has stained his hands and clothes and face. He looked really dangerous covered in the layer of the panther's blood coating his face. Lisa clenched her jaw together holding her mouth for his dark eyes shone gravely as the drops of blood slipped down the bridge of his neck.
That is why, rogues are dangerous. They are heartless and cruel. And he proved that today.
"Please let him go, please!" She begged, turning her face away from him and the panther. It was enough for her to witness the brutal killing of an animal. "Please don't do that." her agonized tone hit his ears and he stopped.
The dying whimpers of the panther killed her brain eventually and forced her to relate it with the last whimpers of her mother that she had heard before her mother gave up on her life.
Alan immediately threw away his weapon, standing up quickly like he realized something important. "Do not worry he will not do you any harm. He's dead." feeling him smile along his words, Lisa dared to shoot a glance on his face.
Her mind screamed as it warned her to stay away from him yet on the other hand, her heart assured her of good. His bloody face relieved her eyes. The tears stopped and her shivers calmed a bit down.
"Don't kill me." alas her words betrayed her feelings.
It was obvious though. When you are stuck in a danger, and the person you suspect to be your death helps you- you still doubt him. So it was not Lisa's fault. Regardless, it was not anticipated by him at all because he disappointedly blinked, registering what she just uttered now, making his wolf turn mad.
Alan mopped his face with his palms sitting across her on his knees. Anger was quite visible on his face, she can see him suppressing himself. "I am not a bad guy, don't fear me, okay. Do not fear me. Hmm." He made a move to touch her shoulder assuringly but before his touch landed on her skin, she let out a painful shriek and fainted pale against the rock. "Hey, hey! Get up."

5. He Is... Caring. Pain was the very first thing she felt after unlatching her lashes. Luckily there was no sudden light cutting her vision. So it was easy for her to adjust within the atmosphere. Lisa hissed woefully when she attempted to move her left hand, it was paining badly as if it was pushed inside hot boiling water. Her irises itched. She rubbed her eyes when she sensed that her body was cocooned in warmth. She looked across from her, taking small breaths and realized her position. She was lying peacefully under a tree with a bonfire near her feet whose flames kept her warm while the winds floated in her direction. She was taken aback when the realization hit her. It was not because she was in better condition now but because her black cloak was removed and her shoulderless gown was put at view. It was torn from the side like a natural slit on a gown. Lisa's cheeks heated up. Her muscles tensed up, she quickly covered her body with her hands as soon as her eyes met wi
6. Freak, That Was A Dream! "Uh, hey... You... Are... You are hurting me" An announcement made by her soft shaky voice was enough to pull him back to reality. Alan batted his cilium blankly, his mind trying to register what she just spoke as he looked around them. "Ohh, I am sorry." he moved backwards realizing where his hands were. He had pulled her gown upward just above her mid thigh. Lisa had to hold his hand in order to prevent him from invading her privacy. Alan looked away giving her her time to adjust with the circumstances but still, the happiness on his face was worth admiring. He was happy. He couldn't think if he had been this happy ever before in his life. She, his mate, whom he had searched for all his life has started trusting him. It was a stepping stone toward his success. She was a big waking mystery that he found in the daylight. What did she do
7. Please Leave. Lisa's Pov In the befallen dark night I was standing quietly in my place hugging my washed cloak tightly. The temperature was low. It was making my skin feel the agony of coldness. Surely I would have died if I were to stay in such a situation alone but the rogue guy and his company kept me warm. He was busy giving a final touch to our diy abode. He made it real quick without wasting any time. The way his heavy iron-like hands cut the bamboo with the axe, the area around him rippled and dust filled the air. Just a few hours and I already started trusting him for his loyalty. He was not really loyal to me but after he saved me from the panther despite me attacking him, it made me realize that he was reliable. And that he could keep me safe until I got my wolf back. Without a wolf I was as helpless as a newbo
8. Gorgon Wolves, Really? Alan's POV… I left her standing there and marched toward the abode I had prepared for her. But, it looks like I will be using it all by myself. Unlike how I had assumed the both of us to be in its shadow. Her eyes were glued on me, I can smell her growing tension after I made it clear to her that she can leave. Agreeably I wanted her to stay with me as she was my better half nevertheless I strongly oppose the way she was behaving with me. I was stupid to say that. Wasn't that true though? She was a girl... And my mate, and I were curious to live with her in this jungle until she decided to tell me her story. From the look on her face I understood long ago that she was in danger. The blood on her forehead, cut on her lips and her mesmerizing royal gown told the back story
Chapter 9 My Love, My Beta Crossing the two valleys and a freaking distance of hundreds of kilometres, Adrian finally reached the pack palace located in Braveland, the capital of Brave Blood Pack. He neither paused nor stopped for a break from his ceaseless running even though it took him the whole day. Now the night was up with the full moon shining high in the sky that became the source of light for him. He had seen two cubs departing their bodies coz of the epidemic that caught them. Their memory haunted him. His brother was on a dead bed too, suffering from the same disease and waiting for his brother. In fact the disease was unknown which made it difficult for them to find a solution. But thanks to the medical team of the pack that worked day and night for three days rig
10. Let Me Stay With You Emotions were far away from Alan's face. It was impossible to believe what he was seeing in front of him. "They will kill me. They will eat me alive." Alan gulped his saliva, feeling scared himself. Lisa behind him, sobbed holding onto him hopefully. There was a pack of four Gorgon Wolves. The animals who were talked about in the myths of the wolves by the ancestors and in the history of wolves revolution... Were here for real. They were surreally standing in front of them as they drooled and smelled them. They had the body as that of a wolf just as described in the books by the scholars and moving hissing snakes on their heads like the Gorgons between their ears looking horribly scary. "Fuck, I never knew I will encounter such a creature in real life." Alan uttered unbelievably whilst darting his eyes on them with no blink. He
11. Alan, My Name Is Alan Back in the lands on Brave Blood Pack, beta Adrian happily managed all the work in his Alpha's absence. The joy on his face was worth watching as he had just come out after visiting his little baby brother, James. The shingles from his and from every other little ones' body were gone completely. All that remained behind were scars. But no problem as the doctors of the medical staff have a cure for that too. A cure that was working for years for the alpha and the soldiers who would return from war with regrettable scars on their body. So the scars were not the problem but the absence of alpha was. Adrian was standing in the garden, talking to some of his friends regarding the happiness of having his brother back to himself without having followed any woes when a pack of few people from the Alpha's pack curtsied before him courteously. "Morning beta A
