65~ The Spy

SOPHIA'S POV

I paced back and forth, my mind was restless and consumed with countless thoughts of Raven. Ever since he had left earlier, I couldn't get myself to calm down. A gnawing sense of unease had settled in the pit of my stomach, refusing to leave even with the distractions I had given myself.

I couldn't shake the feeling that his sudden departure had something to do with a desire to meet another woman. Ever since he made that statement of bringing in another woman in my place, his attitude grew even worse and unbearable. I stopped trusting his outing, something kept telling me that he was going out to check on the best option for my place.

Despite my attempts to focus on other matters, I couldn't shake the image of Raven, his dark eyes flashing in my eyes. I could see the coldness in them but he hid it with care I believe to be long gone from him. The urgency of his outing only fueled my suspicion further, causing an uneasy feeling in me.
