Chapter 11

Theda POV

"Theda, are you awake?" The soft tenor voice of the doctor asked, making me tighten the muscles around my eyes.

"Guess you're fast asleep then," I heard him mumble as he left the room.

I let out a gentle sigh as I slowly opened my eyes. The main door of the room was forcefully pushed open and the two girls who had left appeared at the door.

My eyes meet their unpleasant gaze and I shut them immediately, cringing as they both giggled sarcastically.

"Hey new slave, are you pretending to be asleep?" One said as they walked up to me.

"Poor miserable thing. Let me guess, she thinks the best solution out of her unavoidable circumstance is to pretend to be asleep."

"Ugh, that's petty. You better wake up, silly blonde."

Fuck them. They clearly knew I was pretending but I wasn't thinking of putting an end to my act. Not so soon.

I'm sure they'll let me be like the doctor did.
