Naomi's POV

Receiving my phone from Cassie, I quickly turned it on only to be greeted with Alpha Baron's text.

Instead of clicking on the message, I turned my phone off and with a slight frown proceeded to leave but father held me back.

“What's the problem?” He asked, peering at my face.

“It's nothing, I’m totally fine.” I replied, forcing a smile at him as I pushed his hand off my shoulder.

When I left the living room, I headed straight to my room and then grabbed a book. Since I needed some time alone, I was heading to the garden.

“Naomi, wait.” Cassie called after me and without bothering to look in her direction, I said, “I’m fine.”
