Judah's POV
"Gio, what's the update with Carmelo, has he been found? You guys better have good news for me." I slammed the car down shut as I entered. Gio knowing what was good for him, kept quiet and drove to the club.Dario, my second in command and my most trusted friend, was waiting outside my office when I arrived. He had a cheeky smile on, I gave him a scowl and shook my head for him not to try anything stupid."Judah, how does it feel to be a married man?"" Don't even start." I walked past him and went into my office, and he followed."Come on, is the honeymoon over already? Or wasn't there any honey on the moon?" Dario laughed at his joke, I shot him my darkest glare and he shut up immediately. I say down and Dario dropped a file on my desk."I already emailed you the spreadsheet but I took the liberty to print it out for you. Our drug push rate dropped for the month and we're still missing a truckload of coke."I opened the file and cursed, " Fucking Carmelo, this is why we don't trust the Spanish. When I get my hands on him, he's a dead man. Have you found him?"Dario shook his head, " I haven't found him, he's one slimy and slick bastard but I have someone I'm sure you'd be happy with. I found who betrayed us and sold information to Carmelo."I jerked and jumped from my seat, anger flowing through my veins."Why didn't you tell me this sooner? I need to know who the bastard is."Dario nodded, " I wanted you to feel enough anger so you'll deal with him appropriately. It was Freddie, he's one of our truck drivers. The fool thought he could two-time us and get away with it."I let out a bitter laugh, " Oh I'm going to show him what happened when someone two-times me." Dario and I left my office and headed down to the basement where Freddie was being kept.Screams came from one of the holding cells and I turned to Dario, "I already put Gio and Nico with him to kick-start his lesson." I smiled, pleased, that was why Dario was my second in command, he always knew what to do."Of course," One of my men stood guarding the cell, he saluted on seeing us and stepped aside for us to enter.Freddie's head was dunked in a basin of boiling water, I could see the thick steam from the basin, Nico, a tall muscular black man, held his hair. He dragged him up and Freddie screamed from pain, his face was red and blisters were starting to form."Freddie, we can do this all night, so you better start talking if you know what's good for you." Gio, my younger cousin said. I watched from the shadows as Freddie shook his head. He still had resilience, good, I liked being the one to break resilience.I stepped into the light and watched as Freddie's eyes widened with fear. Perfect. Giovanni and Nico stopped and stood back."Hello Freddie, how have you been? It's been a while since we've seen each other. Do you know what I spent the past few days doing?" I paused, waiting for his reply. Freddie, too scared to say anything, nodded his head."I got married yesterday, you would expect that I'll be enjoying my honeymoon with my wife but no, all I've been doing so far, is worrying about my business and trying to clean up the mess that somebody made. Someone in this room leaked information about our shipment and we lost a truckload of drugs. Now, Freddie, I'm not saying that you are that person, but if you know something, it will be best that you start talking because I have a very angry wife at home and an angry wife makes an angry man." I knew Freddie wasn't going to own up to being the person that betrayed me but I liked the chase."I don't know anything, I swear on my mother's grave that I don't." They always swore on their parents' graves."Freddie, please, we're all adults here who know better than to believe swears. Tell me the truth so we can move on from this." He shook his head, I could feel the anger bubbling in me. I nodded at Gio and Nico. They picked Freddie up and threw him at my feet. Dario brought a chair for me and I sat.I pulled Freddie by the collar of his shirt and dragged him closer to me."Freddie, this is your last chance to tell me the truth or you won't like the side of me that you'll see." He kept mum. Perfect.Dario opened a toolbox that he always carried with him whenever we had to torture someone. I took my time perusing through the tools even though I knew what I wanted, I finally picked a plier and brought it out. I nodded at Gio and he grabbed Freddie's right arm and put it in front of me."No no no. Don't, please no." He begged, I opened the plier and placed his index finger in it. I clamped it down and pulled. A loud crack resounded in the cell. Freddie screamed in utter agony."Look what you made me do." I sighed, " Freddie, I don't like when people betray me. I don't like it even more when they lie to me. I can break another finger or you can talk."Tears fell on his face and snot rushed down from his nose, I wrinkled my nose in disgust. How pathetic."I don't think breaking another finger will do the trick." I turned to Dario, " Do we have a man at Freddie's home?" Dario caught my bluff and nodded." I didn't want to result to this but it seems it's the way to go. Tell him to get ready and wait for my command." Dario pulled out his phone and called Gavin, my third in command, and gave him the false command. Gavin played his part well.Freddie bowed in front of me, " Please, please don't. I'll tell you the truth, please spare my family, my daughter is just a baby. I'm the one that betrayed the group. I'm sorry, I tell you everything I know." I smirked and nodded at Dario, he called Gavin back and called off the fake invasion.Freddie opened his mouth and spewed everything he knew about Carmelo. When he was done talking, I stood and smoothened my suit."You've done well but it's sad that this is the end of the road for you."Freddie's eyebrows furrowed in confusion. " What?"I pulled out my gun and shot him in the head, spewing his brains out. I kept my gun in my pocket and sighed."He was such a bright young man with a great future. So sad that he had to go this way." I kicked his body out of the way and headed out of the cell and to my office with Dario.Gavin was on his phone waiting in my office. His large fingers tapped furiously and I almost felt sorry for the phone. He raised his head when he saw us and turned the phone off."Rough day?" I grinned wickedly.Gavin sighed and ran his hand through his hair, " Try rough life, it's my mom again and she's trying to set me up with another one of her snotty friends' daughters. The last one I went on a date with was dumber than a spoon. I'm not fucking doing that anymore."" Ah, now that I'm married, Zia Cara and Mom are going to be expending all their energy on getting you a wife. I love it." Gavin or Gavino was my cousin but we grew up more like brothers, I was six months older than him but most people assumed we were twins. We had the same jet-black hair, blue eyes, and height, although I liked to think I was slightly taller."Asshole. They're on my neck right now about getting married but soon they'll be on your neck about when you're going to give them grandbabies." An image of a baby with my black hair and Aurelia's hazel eyes flashed in my head but I quickly shook it off. To have a baby, I would first have to sleep with my wife. Another image popped into my head of Aurelia lying on my bed in a lingerie and I almost groaned."Judah, you here?" Dario's voice rang in my head and I came back to reality."Yeah, I'm thinking I'm just a little jetlagged." Gavin and Dario gave me disbelieving looks, they knew me well enough to know that I never got jetlagged."You heading home?" Gavin asked, I shook my head." Nah, I think I'll go to the hotel.""I'll tell them to get your room ready and should they send the usual?" Dario asked, pulling out his phone. I thought about it for a minute."Yeah, I think I'm in the mood for that." I packed up my things, we left my office and I headed to my hotel. The executive suite was my usual room, I entered and everything was to my liking, I showered, changed, and sat on the bed, scrolling through my phone, waiting for my usual. The doorbell rang, I got up and went to open it."Good evening Mr. Bianco, your usual is here." Hilda waltzed into the room, dressed in a trench coat. The leggy blonde walked towards my sofa like she was used to it, she was actually. I smirked and closed the door.I sat on the sofa and Hilda pulled out a smaller portable speaker from her purse and put on some music. She took off her trench coat slowly and dropped to the ground, Hilda smiled as she twirled around in her lingerie that left almost nothing covered."Ready for your usual, Mr. Bianco?" She said in a slutty voice. I gave her a once-over and smirked."Hell yeah."Aurelia's POVI woke up later in the evening and for a moment I thought I had been kidnapped. The room was unfamiliar and so were my clothes. My memory returned and I remembered that I had gotten married to Judah. My stomach growled, I got up and made myself approachable before heading out of the room, when Gerald had shown me around the house, I had barely paid attention. It took me a while before I got to the kitchen.Luckily for me, the kitchen was empty, I looked through the freezer and I couldn't find any cooked food, I groaned and began to pull out ingredients to make pancakes. They were one of the easiest things to make and I was craving for them. I missed everything and began to fry my pancakes. I had made 3 pancakes before the chef ran into the kitchen."Oh no, ma'am please step away from the stove. What are you doing?" She cried. I looked at her shocked and confused. My hand slipped and I touched the hot pan burning myself."Ouch!" I jumped in pain, The short redhead ran to
Aurelia's POVI hadn't seen Judah in almost a week, I woke up, ate breakfast, conversed with Diane and the maids, took walks around the estate, visited the library, read, took a nap, had dinner, and slept. I had done this chronically for six days and I was starting to go insane. There was no way I was going to spend another day doing the same things again."Gerald!" I stomped down the stairs in anger, I had woken up utterly disgusted with my new life. Gerald walked briskly and met me at the bottom of the stairs."Ma'am, you called for me." He stood upright, his arms at his back. I had never seen him smile since I arrived and honestly could not see what Diane saw in him but to each his own."Yes, I need a car. I'm going out." I said in a stern voice, Gerald raised an eyebrow and I almost cowered but held strong."Okay, tell me where you're going and I'll call for someone to drive you." He moved to bring out his phone but I stopped him."There's no need for a driver, I just want to dri
Judah's POVMy car keys were in my hand before I knew it and I was already out the door. Gavin hurried after me."What happened?" He asked. I didn't bother to reply him until we were inside my car and I had started to drive."Aurelia just had an accident. While I was talking to her, I heard a loud crash, I called out to her but she didn't respond. God, she shouldn't have fucking left the house." My grip tightened around the steering wheel and I drove like my life depended on it.Luckily, the location of Aurelia's accident wasn't that far from my clubhouse. We soon arrived, I saw my brand new Mercedes rammed into an old Ford van, a little crowd had gathered around the vehicles. I quickly parked behind the car and came down, hurrying to where the crowd was. I pushed through the crowd and got to the middle, one of my men held a pudgy white man against the door, the man's face was red and he was sweating badly."What's going on? Where's my wife?" I asked the other of my men, his eyes wid
Judah's POVDario shot me a disapproving look, " I'm heading back to the clubhouse, I have a meeting with Matteo in an hour, I need all my wits for that tricky bastard." He dropped his glass on the table and Gavin did as well."I'll go with you. I need a ride back to the clubhouse, my car is there." They both left and I waited until I was sure they weren't in the house before leaving my office and headed for Aurelia's room.I opened the door quietly and walked in, her eyes were closed, and her breathing even. I walked closer and stood by her bedside, her head was ruffled, and I brushed away the few strands of her hair that had gotten into her face. Aurelia moaned and turned in bed, my hand stilled on her face, I removed it quickly. She slowly opened her eyes and looked gaze with me. She sniffled and shifted in bed, putting herself in a sitting position."Who are you?" Her words slurred. Before I could respond, she reach out and cupped my chin."You're cute, very cute. You look famili
Aurelia's POV Gina and Opal had helped me get acquainted with my new crutches, Diane had tried to force me to stay in bed but there was no way I was going to lie in bed when Judah was coming home for dinner. I cleaned myself up and dressed in a simple olive off-shoulder dress that reached my calves. I did my hair up in a simple bun and waited in the kitchen with Diane."I don't know why you decided to put yourself through all this stress, you should be lying comfortably in that bed and letting us take care of you but no, you're here in the kitchen," Diane grumbled as she stirred the food she was cooking."Until I go insane, right? Diane, I can't stand being alone right now, I'm in pain, I need to be distracted." She twisted her lips and focused on her food. "You look good, I've never seen you dress up like this for dinner. What happened to your comfy t-shirt and sweatpants?" Diane raised an eyebrow, I swiftly looked down at my phone."Dress up, please, I just threw this one. I can't
Aurelia's POVDinnertime was hell now, Judah had been coming home every day for over a week and we always had dinner together, we didn't utter a word to each other. He still gave me irritated looks every time my desserts came and I doubled my Intake of sweets just to spite him. "Dinner is served." Opal knocked on my door, I got up and pulled on my blue dotted tank top and shorts. "Thanks, Opal, I'll be there soon." I walked carefully to the door, I had ditched my crutches and was walking on my own now but with a little difficulty. Judah was already at the table when I arrived, he hadn't waited for me and was already eating, jerk. He glanced at me and pressed his lip in a tight line. Good, I had stopped making an effort in my dressing and chose to only dress for me.I sat down and dug into my food vigorously, I had set my phone's timer for 10 minutes and I wanted to see if I could finish eating in ten minutes. "Do you have somewhere to be? Why are you eating like you're being chase
Judah's POV"What do you mean you can't accept it? This is a black card, it's very rare and expensive. It will get you anywhere you need to go and anything you need to buy." I waved the envelope in front of her. "I know but I have my own money, I don't need yours. It might not be that much but it's okay. I don't feel comfortable taking money from you." Who the hell was this woman, most women would jump at the opportunity to spend my money and she was rejecting it. I was beginning to get a migraine, which was now a usual thing for me ever since I married Aurelia. She was probably just playing hard to get.I drew in a deep breath and let it out. " Aurelia, I'm your husband, it's my duty to provide for you, I have a lot of money and it's not going to finish just because you went out and bought something you like. So take the card and use it, if I find out you don't use the card, I'm going to be pissed and you don't want to know what happens when I'm pissed." She hesitated for a minute
Aurelia's POVI took a small sip of my wine and gripped the glass tightly, deciding to ignore her. I turned to Mrs. Williams, " So, what's on the group's agenda? Where are we volunteering? A soup kitchen, an orphanage?" The women shared looks and burst into laughter, Mrs. Williams finished laughing and wiped at her eyes."Oh honey, so young, so naive. We don't actually do the work, we just sign checks and send it off to the different places they need to go. Right now, we're donating a new gym to Blackstone Prep, then we're going to send a check to an orphanage somewhere in Africa, we're going to spin, and wherever the bottle lands is the country we'll send it to." I was gobsmacked, I looked around the room so if anyone felt the way I did but they were all the same. Blackstone Prep was one of the most expensive schools in LA, why the hell did they need a new gym, and they were going to play Spin the Bottle to choose where to volunteer next? Oh my gosh, I needed to get out before I g
