Emma thinks of the dream—the sheer, pure confidence and happiness to finally just be herself without judgement or anxieties. She'll hold onto the feeling and the rapidly fading memory of that paradise, hoping it will soothe her in the coming long nights.

Perhaps there was an alternate universe where that was the truth, that was the reality, and not just an escape for one, lonely, desperate night. Maybe somewhere out there, a version of Emma deserves to be happy.

But for now, Emma rubs her eyes and tries to ignore the aching emptiness as she recites every teaching, which she uses to convince herself she's doing the right thing and she has to.

The dream is just a dream, and it has to be enough for her.
