Chapter Seventy-Seven

It’s been three days, and James hasn’t responded to treatment. The healers said it was a result of all the beatings and wolf’s bane put into his system by Shawn, and the amount of energy it took his wolf to come back out.

Chris on the other hand has woken up, and has been a great help in ruling the pack because I couldn’t. I didn’t want to leave Chris alone.

Lola has been nowhere to be found, and it didn’t seat well with me that she hasn’t tried anything, but I couldn’t do anything about it.

All I could do was wait for James to wake up.

I took his fingers in mine and sighed. A memory came into my mind and I sighed, shaking my head.

My biggest problem used to be that James didn’t love me, but now here we are, barely defeated the one person I trusted in my life and the other person I trusted on the run.

But he was here, and this time, I was sure James loved me.

He hasn’t said it, but I could feel it.

I placed a kiss on his forehead, “Please wake up.”
