CHAPTER 11 - HIS PLAN

Nico Bernardi’s intense look made her nervous.  

Kara wanted to look away but found that she could not. 

An invisible force compelled her to endure his stare until she started sweating under his heavy-lidded gaze. 

She saw desire in his eyes. 

She remembered that day vividly in her mind when he told her that he wanted her.   It made her think that it was just a whim on his part.  

But now she was having doubts.  

Kara made a quick intake of breath and looked back at Nico’s face. The desire was gone.

It made her think that she just imagined the whole thing.  By now, Nico Bernardi had this calculating look,  cold and dispassionate.
