Chapter 14: The Start of a Mission (Part 5)
Sophia had picked up a few basic earth and water scrolls from the library on her way home. She knew element-based magic was difficult to learn, and if she ever wanted to master her two natures, she would have to start practicing now.
Any spare moment she had between early morning training with Asher Jean, then Major Dylan, Asher Jean again, Major Laina, and missions would be spent studying these scrolls and practicing magic.
She had no time to spare, her drive to go back to Elijah with her magic channel unrestricted made her move forward. At first, when she discovered that she had two elemental magic, she couldn’t believe it at all. To be honest, it was too hard not to give away her secret under her teammates and mentor’s scrutinizing eyes. She had to be amazed at all times when she basically had seen all the techniques they showed from Elijah. Sophia feigned a suitably impressed face when Major Dylan walked on water as easily as if he was walking on solid ground.
