Chapter 16

The sudden brakes almost threw all three of them off their seats if they did not have their seat belts on. The glare Alex passed to Tessa could kill if looks could. She had been the one barely seconds ago giving him the warning look and here she was blurting out what she shouldn't. ‘’Oh’’ was all Cassandra said as she sank deeper into her seat. She faced the window trying hard to hold back herself. ‘’You should have kept quiet’’ Aleex could not hold it, but Tessa only shrugged. The deed was done and there was no way she could take back her words at this time.

As the ride home got closer, Cassandra only wished she could escape. So much was going through her mind, she knew him, not well enough but she was certain he loved her and her father approved of him. So much was happening but knowing they had such a close bond and him being the killer was not something sitting slightly within her. Cassandra was quick to jump out of the car even before Alex could pack properly. While the other st
