2. Hiring of Maids

Dominick was trying hard to search for that woman all over the city. After catching her scent, he knew that it was a hybrid.

“I don’t understand why you want the footage of that cafe but here it is.” Paxton handed the tablet as Dominick searched it.

He played the footage as he couldn’t determine the face. She’s wearing a cap over the hood and a facemask. She looked frail but the moment she disappeared in an alley only meant that she was not that frail at all.

“Interesting.” He said. “I need to find out where she came from.”

Paxton sighed.

“She managed to dodge most of the cameras.”

“Then, let’s install more,” Dominick said and tossed the tablet on the table in front of Paxton.

“Are you crazy?” Paxton frowned. “We don’t have a budget for that.”

“She has no face. Find her. Or if you could find where they hid the relic, I might stop looking for her.”

Paxton exhaled. He has no choice but to choose the mate that he’s eager to search for. He doesn’t care who he was mated to. What he wanted was heirs, and if the woman disregarded him, surely, Dominick would do everything in his power to give heirs. That’s one way to stop the elders from dethroning him.

Paxton sighed again as he reached his head. Dominick is already giving him a hard time.

“Dom,” he called as he smiled.

“Take a break.” He waved him off.

“The maids are here and since your maid was murdered~~ would you like the usual?” He squinted his eyes.

“I am not fucking a maid again,” Dominick promised him but Paxton still squinted his eyes at him.

“Sure,” Paxton turned back with the tablet.

Dominick propped his elbow over his mahogany desk as he intertwined his fingers and leaned the bride of his nose on his intertwined fingers with brows furrowed. He tried hard to remember the smell. He describes how enticing the scent is.

He needed to get to the city again to search for that woman. He stood as he prepared to leave. He headed to his room as he changed his clothes to prepare to leave. He passed by the maids that were lined up in the lobby. He peeked at them as Paxton’s glare darted on him. Behind those strict glasses.

“King Dominick will choose his personal maid today.”

He frowned at Paxton as he was about to leave but then, his Butler was quick and was already in front of him.

“This way please.”

Bellatrix. She stared at the name that was given to her. Despite being undercover, the Handler still gives a hint for her name. Bella. It should be demure, innocent, and timid. She should act timid. For the past few days, she’s been training herself. She knew basic survival and she knew how to do simple tasks.

She also changed her look, dyed her hair, and looked like a timid girl behind those glasses. She glanced at the upcoming right hand of the King. Duke Paxton Renzo. His glasses were shone by the ray of light while he was discussing something with the Head Butler of the castle.

The madam or the head maid was currently lecturing them about confidentiality and how the King wanted his room to be cleaned.

Three would be working to clean the King’s room daily. She listened but her mind was working on how to kill the King. It'll be hard since he is always surrounded by people. However, she heard that she had a specific liking and some maids seduced him.

But with the description of what kind of women he likes, she first thought of putting fake silicone breasts. Her chest wasn't the size he liked. He likes a bigger one or perhaps 2 times from cup C. She’s a cup B and the man perhaps likes DD/E Cup.

She had been thinking about it. But it was too late to change it since she was already in her uniform.

“Your Highness,” The head maid bowed at the Duke who glanced at them as they all bowed their heads.

“We haven’t chosen someone who will be the King’s errand maid,” Paxton said. “But that’s a high position.” He said.

What’s the difference? She thought. Maids are maids.

“Raise your heads.” He said as they all raised their heads. He seemed to stop and looked at someone from above.

The King. She thought. She never thought of meeting the King but she needed to take that position to be his maid. It’ll be easy to kill him then. And then, she’ll just worry about her life. She doesn't care anymore. She wanted to die anyway and fate doesn’t want to grant that wish.

“King Dominick will choose his personal maid today.”

Everyone seemed to gasp as her eyes widened. She bit her lower lips to avoid grinning. She got plan B. Even if she wasn’t chosen to be his maid, she would always have a chance to seduce him and lure him.

Then, there were footsteps as they bowed their heads.

“Ah, Duke Paxton, you are surely trying to get me to work.” The King said sardonically to his secretary.

“Here are their names,” He showed it to him. “Their name tags will be distributed after you choose your personal maid.

She felt chills down her nape as she felt that pair of hazel-green eyes on her.

“Interesting.” He walked past her and then he walked back again. Then, she saw a pair of biker’s boots in front of her as his scent got closer. She’s getting nervous. Never did she feel intimidated. Not this presence.

Her eyes dilated as his lips were closer to her ear.

“I think you’ll do the job.”

She tried to be calm and composed as she lowered her head deeper. Did she win? Did she get the job as his maid?

“Raise your head.” He commanded as she raised her head and she didn’t dare to look into his eyes although she knew those eyes were piercing. “Can you do the job or not?” He asked, his voice was calm, and it

“I’ll do as you ask, my King.”

“Your majesty, may I speak with you alone?” Paxton asked.

“Have her prepare my room and bath.” He commanded the head maid who bowed her head.

She then glanced at the man who walked off with his secretary. Just one word. Just one word and she’ll do the job. If he says it~~then her job will be done soon enough.
