With my terror increasing by the nanosecond, I realise where we are. Luna Lily takes my hand and squeezes it gently, she gives me a reassuring smile as she walks through the door, pulling me along with her.
For the first time in my life, I am in the Alphas office, this is not something I had ever anticipated, there are only 2 reasons I know of for anyone to be taken to the Alphas office, 1 you are an official on official business or 2 you are in trouble and have to discuss your misdeeds and punishment. Cassie -After reading the first couple of sentences, I have to stop, go back and reread it carefully. I am incredibly surprised by what I am seeing written on the page. Cassie -It has been a whole week since I read the diary entry written almost 60 years ago by Luna Jennifer. Cassie -Thomas and I are so excited at the prospect of relocating that we pretend that between now and then, there will not be a severe event. We pretend the worst isn't coming and we make plans, we talk about the people we will be when we move, the friends we will make, the life we will lead. Cassie -After telling Luna and Dr Thorne about the cramps, which I now know Ace caused me, the pains stopped. I still haven't ventured from my room, nervous of seeing Ace or Maddie, who I imagine helped Ace with his 'needs', resulting in my pain. I don't know what happened. All I know is that the pain has stopped, not faded, but completely stopped. And I am not complaining. Thomas keeps encouraging me to leave the room, assuring me we will not see Ace. Cassie -It is currently 1 am. I can't sleep. All kinds of different scenarios keep running through my thoughts. Thomas lay beside me, sleeping peacefully. He didn't want to leave me tonight, not after I had decided I was going to do the rejection as soon as possible. I try to think happy thoughts, to dream of the future, but always there, in the background, waiting to jump forward and consume me were the thoughts of the coming days. How will I fare? How will Ace react? I just don't know, and not knowing what is driving me up the wall, every time I close my eyes. A different scene plays out before me. Ace accepts easily, and the pain is over quickly. Ace breaks free and kills me before I finish speaking. Ace plots to have me killed whilst I am bedridden.
