MABEL'S POV

"Mabel, your father has had a heart attack," my mother said, her voice shaking. "He's in the hospital, and they say he's in critical condition."

My heart stopped. I felt like the world was spinning around me. My mind was racing. I couldn't believe what i was hearing. My father had always been so healthy, so strong. How could this be happening? I could barely think straight, but I knew I had to act quickly.

I ran to my car and started the engine, my hands shaking. I tried to focus on the road as I drove to the hospital, but my thoughts were consumed with worry for my father. What if he didn't make it?

When I arrived at the hospital, I rushed to the reception desk. I told the receptionist my father's name, and the receptionist directed me to the cardiac unit. My heart kept on pounding as I made my way down the long hallway. I felt like I was in a nightmare, like this couldn't be real. Finally, I reached the cardiac unit.
