"You liar!!!" I yelled, not believing a word that had poured out from her mouth. ππ, ππ‘ π€ππ π'π‘ π‘ππ’π...
"It is the truth! Why then do you think he is with the Doctors, huh? We've been making love. It's apparent he got tired of your dumb ass and couldn't keep up with you anymore. You were worthless to him so he had to find someone more useful. And that was me. Now, look! His seed is blooming inside me!"
My wolf took charge and without thinking, I charged towards her across the room and landed a hard slap on her cheek. The force of the slap threw her off to the ground but I wasn't done. I straddled her thighs and kept landing slaps on her face. The only thing that saved her were the nurses who heard her screams and rushed into the room.
"You bitch!" Serena yelled in tears as the nurses pulled me off her. I yanked my arms and stared down at her, my anger blazing. I would do something even more dangerous if I stayed so I left. I heard one of the nurses informing Eduardo on the phone as I left. I drove home in sadness and anger. As I walked in, I met mother in the living room.
"Where are you coming from, Aurora?" She asked with a displeased look on her face. "Ed has been blasting my phone with calls, wondering were you were."
"The hospital!"
Her eyes remained as cold as ever. Pretty sure she must have noticed my sad demeanor but it did not concern my mother-in-law. Instead, she waved her hand dismissively.
"Get me a glass of water, now!"
Quietly, I walked into the kitchen and filled a glass with water. I looked like someone who had been whacked by a truck. My shoulders were slumped, my eyes were red and puffy from crying, and my face was weary.
It was still hard for me to believe I had lost control and attacked Serena. I was always calm and collected, no matter what was thrown my way. π»ππ€ πππ I πππ‘ π‘π π‘βππ πππππ‘?
And where was Eduardo?
"Spacing out again, Aurora?" Mother asked, walking into the kitchen. "Where is the water I asked for?" She demanded, glaring daggers at me.
"I'm sorry Mother, I..."
"Is there anything you are good at, aside from sitting around and basking in my son's wealth? You cannot even give him a child!" She glared at me and continued. "I asked you for a glass of water, still, you couldn't even deliver it!"
"I'm sorry Mother..."
"For the last time, stop calling me mother! I cannot and will never be your mother!"
Taking a deep breath, I lowered my head and stared at the glass of water I was holding. I still didn't know where I had gone wrong or why my mother-in-law despised me so much. If she wasn't picking a fight with me, she was laying thousands of complaints about me.
"Here is the water you requested for." I spoke calmly, choosing to ignore her words as always. I took a step closer to give her the water but I was shoved.
The glass of water was the first to slip from my hand and shatter into pieces before my butt painfully hit the ground which resulted from the broken glasses tearing into my skin. I let out an agonizing cry.
"That is where you belong, you shameless woman!" With that being said, mother turned around and exited the kitchen.
I could barely hold it in. I started sobbing as blood gushed out of my hand and arm. A sharp shooting pain cramped up in my stomach and my body tensed. My face contorted in pain, my breathing became shallow, and I was sweating and all pale.
I lowered my hand to my stomach and squeezed my eyes shut, trying to hold myself together through sheer force of will. I was on the verge of collapsing. What was happening to me?
"Holy Mercies!" The maid yelled and rushed over to kneel beside me. "Hang in there, Ma'am... Please!"
Without asking questions, she helped me up from the ground and led me out of the kitchen. She quickly grabbed the first aid kit and attended to my injury. First, she managed to pull out the broken glasses before she stopped the bleeding and bandaged my hand. She insisted on calling Eduardo or the Doctor but I assured her I was alright.
"Are you sure, Ma'am? You do not look alright!"
I forced a little smile. "I am fine. Just get back to work!"
Just then, the door opened and Eduardo walked into the house. The moment his eyes found me, something veered in the atmosphere. The air thickened, suffocating me with a tension that ticked like a bomb waiting to explode.
Quietly, I rose to my feet, ignoring the cramps in my stomach. "You're back!"
Instead of responding, he started walking towards me, his eyes fixed on my bandage. There was something about the look in his eyes that made my heartbeat seize and my skin crawl.
"Who did this to you?" He asked, holding up my arm gently. When his eyes finally met mine, they softened.
"It was an accident. I fell and broke a glass!"
The look in his eyes changed so fast as he released my hand which dropped to her side. My wolf and I mourned his touch but didn't utter a word. He had suddenly gone silent and I wondered what was going through his mind. Why was he just returning? The thought of him being with Serena burned a hole in my chest.
"So it wasn't Serena!" He uttered finally.
"You were with her, weren't you? I stayed up all night trying to reach you. Don't tell me you forgot about our anniversary!"
"Why did you hurt her?" He asked instead, ignoring my question or anything else I said. "How could you do such a thing, Aurora?"
Because she deserved it, I thought as I stared back at him. I couldn't believe he was asking so many questions instead of apologizing for everything. He even ignored my question!
"Do you even know how I feel right now, Eduardo? You..."
"It is nothing compared to what she's feeling right now. How could you hurt her that way? She has always been good to you!" He paused and stared at me for a brief moment. "What came over you, Aurora?"
And that was it. I couldn't take it anymore!
"Don't you dare!" I gritted as my teary eyes flashed with warning. "You, Eduardo Garcia, are a shameless man. I should've known all along. I should've believed your mother but I trusted you!"
"This has nothing to do with me. You hurt someone and you're going to do what responsible people do!" His voice was as calm as ever, quiet venom running underneath it. "You are going to apologize to Serena!"
Everything went still. His words repeated in my head, ramming into my skull like bullets. The knot in my chest tightened as silent rage oozed out of my pores. How could he ask me to apologize to his mistress?
"No, I won't. You can both rot in hell!" I blinked back the tears that threatened to spill and turned to walk away but he grabbed my bandaged arm. I yelped and tried to withdraw my hurting arm from his grip but couldn't.
"You will do as I say, Aurora!"
I glared harder at him with bloodshot eyes. "And what if I said I wanted a divorce?"
He stiffened.
His eyes widened with shock first and then narrowed into thin slits, brimming with fury. Without a word, he released my arm and walked away, taking the silence with him. Sobs wracked my body as I watched him leave and finally, I let the full flood of tears flow.
I got into the room I shared with Eduardo and began packing my things, leaving behind everything he had bought for me. By the time I was done, mother was standing beside the door with a surprised look on her face. It took a lot from me not to hiss at her. I was sure she must have heard us arguing. I could feel her gladness from where I was.
"Where are you going, Aurora? Have you finally decided to listen and move away from my son? Have you now realized you are no good for him?"
Instead of replying, I zipped up my luggage and picked up my phone. I walked over to where she stood and held the phone in front of her. A moment passed but there was no reaction from her. I had expected her to laugh at the picture displayed on the screen but instead, she furrowed her brows and looked up at me.
"What is this? Where did you get it from?"
"From your son!" I replied curtly, my voice hoarse from sobbing hard. Turning off the phone, I smiled. "You must be excited. You always said this would happen anyway!"
"So what? You're leaving?"
"Isn't that what you always wanted?" I asked in response and I could see the gleam behind her eyes.
"Then what are you waiting for? Be gone oh ye barren woman!"
Without a response, I rolled my luggage and started walking off. The last thing I needed was entertaining any more drama from my mother-in-law.
"What's in the box? Hope you haven't stolen all of my son's money. Hey... Come back here this instant... Aurora!"

"You can always sort this out, Mrs Garcia, divorce is not the answer!"
Without a response, I picked up the pen and signed the papers. When I was done, I removed my wedding ring and dropped it on top of the paper.
I had gone past the point to care if my decision was right or wrong. What difference would it make? Eduardo would always care more about his mistress and mother would never stop maltreating me because I couldn't bear a child.
I was so sick and tired of everything already. If this was going to give me peace, then so be it. "Thank you for processing everything in a short time. Please ensure Mr. Garcia signs them as well!"
As I made my way to the door, I met Eduardo coming in. "you're going to regret this." He swore and I stared at him dead in the eye.
"I, Aurora Williams, from Redmoon pack, rejected you, Eduardo Garcia, Alpha of Black Moon pack," I rejected him venomously and he held his chest tightly as the mate bond broke. He groaned in pain but I couldn't care less. His eyes held fury as he accepted my rejection, "I, Eduardo Garcia, from Blackmoon Pack, accept your rejection."
I walked out of the house, leaving him and everything behind.
I sat in the backseat of the moving vehicle and stared out of the window. I had managed to stop crying and was now recounting my marriage with Eduardo. Everything had been perfect and blissful. I loved him with my whole heart and believed he did the same. At least he had proven himself countlessly. And mother. Back then she loved me so much and we were more like best friends. Sadly, our friendship took a sour turn six months after my marriage with her son. It finally came to an end a year later when I couldn't still bear children. I was then despised by her. She never stopped maltreating me whenever Eduardo was away on business trips. The vehicle swerved and I hit my bandaged arm on the side of the window. I sighed and squeezed my eyes shut. It was hurting but it was nothing compared to what I had gone through for the past six years. Finally, I arrived at the airport and proceeded to book a flight to England. I had informed my parents about my homecoming and they were more than ha
Aurora's Point Of View"Star, are you sure about this?" "Dad, you've been asking me this all day," I said with a small laugh. "Your father is just as worried as I am, Aurora. I know it has been five years but going back to the States? What if he... gosh I don't even wanna think about it." I sighed and zipped up my last box. "I know Eduardo is there and everything but don't worry, I've got it under control. It's been five years. What are the odds of crossing paths with him in such a big country?" "What about your kids?" Dad asked worriedly. "They will be fine. I will protect them with my life. No harm would come to them." To make sure no coincidence occurred, I had applied to companies that had no affiliation with Eduardo's company and they were all located in the small part of the city. Parts Eduardo would most likely not step foot on. The odd jobs I had worked over five years were not enough to cater to my children. I had little to no savings after all the expenditures. Mum an
Aurora's Point Of View"Goodness gracious!" Nana exclaimed as I rushed inside. "Mummy!" The twins squealed as they rushed to embrace me. I held them close, trying to calm my trembling hands. "Did you have fun with Nana?" I asked, masking my shakiness with a smile. "Yes, mummy." "That's good. How about you continue your food while mummy and Nana talk?" "Okay, mummy," they chorused and skipped back to the dining table. "Are you okay, dear?" Nana asked and I nodded."I'm fine, Nana. Just a little bit tired." She gave me a knowing look and I looked away from her. If I look longer into her eyes, I fear I would tell her everything bothering me. Nana just has that effect. "Let me go and have a quick bath." I excused myself from the living and went up to my room. I leaned against the door, my body restless. What was I going to do now? Maxwell had seen me. What would I do now? Will he tell Eduardo? Oh great moon, what am I going to do? I was jolted out of my thoughts by the sudden ring
Two Days AgoEduardo's Point Of ViewIt was two years ago when I began to search for her. The Aurora I knew was alone in this world. A little wolf like her wouldn't survive in a world filled with predators that are ready to pounce on a lone wolf. She was nothing without me. She needed me to survive. That was why I was certain she would come running back to me soon. But a year passed, then the second year, and I couldn't take it anymore by the third year. How dare she throw divorce papers at my face and reject me? Who did she think she was rejecting me, Eduardo Garcia? I was her husband and alpha. She had no right! I was going to make her pay when I found her but it was as if she had been erased from the face of the earth. I searched far and wide but I couldn't find her. I did not know how she did it but she managed to hide from me for five good years. Everywhere I went, everything I did, she clouded my thoughts. Even when I was supposed to be preparing to attend to some business p
Aurora's Point Of ViewNo... It couldn't be! He slowly turned around, stealing my breath. "Long time no see, Aurora." "W...What are you doing in here?""Just came to pay a visit" He spoke calmly, slowly adjusting his cufflinks. "Well then, you are not welcome here, Eduardo," I spoke through gritted teeth, hiding my anxiety behind a fearless expression."But here I am." He replied lazily and stepped further into the room without taking his eyes off me. Maybe I was dreaming or my eyes were playing tricks on me because there was no way in hell Eduardo Garcia, my ex-husband and father of my kids could be standing in the middle of my sitting room. I squeezed my eyes shut and opened them again, hoping I would wake up from this nightmare but nothing happened. He was there, standing in his full glory, looking as tall and handsome as ever. And here I thought he wouldn't find me. Did Maxwell tell him he saw me? Oh moon, it has only been a day and a few hours since I returned from England.
Aurora's Point Of ViewHe gently took hold of my shoulders, turning me around to face him. My breath hitched as I met his intense gaze, filled with unspoken desires. "How about we stop pretending like you're not feeling what I'm feeling?""What... what do you mean, sir?" I asked, my voice trembling. He smirked, a knowing glint in his eyes as he brought his face tantalizingly close to my neck. I couldn't help but shudder, feeling his warm breath against my skin as he whispered, "This."With the little resolve I had left in me, I moved away from him. "I... I need to go and.." He smirked, tucking his hand in his pant pockets. "You wanna keep denying it, huh?" "I'm not denying it." "Oh, so you admit you feel something." I huffed, "No, I mean, there is nothing to deny so I'm not denying anything." His grin widened, "really?" Gosh, what has the moon goddess gotten me into? I did not ask for a second chance mate. I did not need one. Dealing with Eduardo is already a lot on my plate but
Eduardo's Point Of View "What is going through your mind, Eddie?" I stiffened. I hated it when she called me that. The only person who used to call me that was Aurora. My mind went down memory lane where she would giggle happily the moment I arrived from work, calling my name as she rushed down the stairs and I would quickly meet her halfway to prevent her from falling. "Eddie!" She would beam as I carried her and twirled her around and I would spend the rest of the night with my head on her thighs, recounting the stressful day I had at work. "Eddie!" I gasped, looking up abruptly. I thought, for a moment, I heard Aurora's voice but I didn't. It was Serena. "What is it?" I asked lazily. "What's going on with you? You seem to have a lot on your mind.""Nothing I can't handle." She sighed and continued eating. I looked down at my plate and realized I hadn't touched a single grain. My phone rang and I excused myself to pick up the call. It was Nate, my Beta, and best friend. Unli
Aurora's Point Of View Mr. Gomez, that man! It was going to be hard dealing with him. He is so persistent and rude with it. It was only a matter of time before I reached a breaking point. After work, I left the office and decided to get some groceries. We still had some at home but I needed to have more than enough to be safe. I was still at the grocery store when my mum called me. We haven't really spoken since I started working. "Hey, mum." "My starlight, how are you baby?" "I'm fine, mum. We're fine!" "Oh gracious moon, it's not been up to a week and I already miss those two little troublemakers so much." I giggled, "I know. They miss you too, mum. Especially your bedtime stories." "I can't believe I'm crying already!" She sniffled and chuckled lightly. "Can you help me with some tissue, dear? Thank you so much!" "Hi, dad." "He has gone inside to get me tissues," Mum said and I nodded like she could see me... "Don't cry, mum. You're gonna make me cry too." "Okay,
