Chapter Twelve

Derrick stopped in his tracks causing Sheila to collide with him, her front mashed up against him as they stared at each other for what seemed like an eternity until Derrick seemed to remember himself and pulled away, swallowing hard. He straightened up first pulling Sheila slightly away as he rubbed his clothes as if to wipe off the dirt. Luckily for the both of them, they had gotten to the driveway which was very far from the prying eyes of the employers.

"I'm sorry." Derrick apologized but Sheila ignored him and walked to where the car was packed.

He got in and they drove off but Sheila could not take her mind off which business trip it was and who had scheduled it because for all she knew the only business trip that she had scheduled for him would come up in three months and nobody except her was authorized to meddle in his appointments and meetings.
