Audie was momentarily silent, trying to digest the doctor's information. A mess of emotions filled his mind, refusing to believe that what he had just heard was true.

"Doctor, please explain once more," he pleaded tremblingly. "How can you say that she is not my biological daughter? I gave birth to her myself!"

The doctor took a deep breath, understanding Audie's confusion and pain. "I understand that this is very hard to believe," he said calmly. "The DNA test results show no genetic link between you and your child. I know this is a shock, and I am truly sorry to have to deliver this news."

Audie sat down, feeling dizzy. Barbara, beside him, clasped his hand tightly, trying to provide support. "Maybe there was a mistake," she said, trying to calm her mother. "Maybe there was a mistake in the sampling or something in the lab."

"Can we do the test again?" asked Barbara, her eyes hopeful.

"Sure," replied the doctor. "We can arrange a repeat DNA test to make sure there was no mistake
