An Escape

Rain couldn’t mask her awe when she’d walked into the restaurant. It was beautiful… that was the only word she could think of at that moment.

The place wasn’t designed to look luxurious or fancy, the interior was designed to look like something straight out of the Victorian era .

It was bright, there were the brightest bulbs kept in lamps, they brightened up the whole place and made it feel like a different world entirely.

“It’s beautiful,” she couldn’t help but say. She didn’t pay attention to Alexander, he was silent but her arms in his were a constant reminder to keep walking.

His scent assailed her nostrils momentarily distracting her from the beauty of the place she was in.

He smelled of roses...It was a scent that was all over the cabin, a fleeting thought crossed her mind and her heart fluttered at the thought.

Was it his home?

Of course not. Why would he live in the cabin when he owned the entire mansion that she was sure had more room than she could count?
