Rissa's slap felt like a sting of bees. It was as though she had slapped sense into me, and I realized what I had just done. The force of her slap sent me reeling, and my cheek stung with the impact.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean.." I started to say, but the look of disgust on her face stopped me from finishing my sentence.

"But you did it. Don't ever force yourself on me again," she spat out, her voice filled with venom.

She stared at me with so much hatred in her eyes. I didn't even know what came over me, and I watched as she turned around and stormed off.

"You should leave," she said before getting to the door. "If you get caught, I'll deny you flat out."

With that, she went inside, leaving me standing there like a fool. I felt like an idiot for risking everything and coming here uninvited. I crawled under the shrubs and exited the fence with electric barbed wires, but thanks to my Lycan blood, they did not affect me.
