A maid holding a bottle of wine in her hand walked into the hall and stopped by Thomas and bowed politely to him. “Sir, our king ordered me to give you this wine. He wants to thank you for the feast,” she said as she handed the bottle to him.

Thomas took it from her hand while laughing cheerfully. He then looked at the wine bottle in his hand with a satisfied look of relief, because he thought his plan to please Lucian had worked.
