"You're coming with me on a mission." Malakai said when he called 2 hours ago. This was probably her second mission after the fight with Malakai 3 days ago. Why Malakai was coming with her was a mystery to her. She was on her way to the agency building when she spotted Astrid also going in the same direction. She called out her name and caught up to her. "Hey Eden. What's up?" Astrid said as they both went through security together taking off their gear etc. "Nothing really. Got a mission with Malakai." She said putting her gear back on. "With Malakai? What do you mean?" Astrid asked, doing the same. "I mean Malakai wants me to go on a mission with him. Is that weird? I mean we went together on one before too." Eden replied, both of them walked to the lounge area now. "Kind of yeah. Malakai never goes on missions, let alone with any agents. His only job is giving orders." That's weird, why does Malakai want to go with her then? "I'll see you round, I have to meet someone.

"Need I remind you about the Eleanor Park case you messed up." No, Eden didn't need to be reminded. "If you were so worried I'd mess up, why not send a more experienced agent. Like I don't know, Alec? Who's been doing this for 8 fucking years." Eden went back on the damn topic of Alec and it was annoying Malakai. "Because you need to learn to do jobs like this. And what's with Alec? If you really want I'll turn back and make him go with you." Malakai said with a clenched jaw and frustration dripping from his voice. Eden gave no reply, thankfully, so Malakai continued driving. The rest of the drive was silent until they reached a warehouse on the outskirts of the city. It looked vacant, but I guess that was the point. "This gang isn't any big shot gang, but it has around 300 to 500 members. The outside isn't well guarded because they have traps around. It took Eden a little too long to collect herself and move away from Malakai who was now staring the dozen men in the eyes. "We're fucked Malakai." Eden whispered, her hand on his gun again. "This wasn't the plan. We were supposed to walk out of here without a scratch." Malakai whispered back, his hands also ready to grab his weapons. "Park’s men maybe?" Eden asked. "Of course Park was involved with gangs. Just what we needed." The frustration was clear in his voice. "Look, we don't care that you killed our guy. In fact you did us a favour cuz we all knew about the bastard that he was. But we were ordered by Park's temporary successor to kill you on sight." One of the men spoke. Malakai waited for about 15 minutes until Alec's car pulled up beside him. He greeted Alec and got into the passenger seat. "Eden really took your car huh?" Alec said while trying not to laugh. "This isn't funny. You know I don't like anyone touching my car." Malakai said, rolling his eyes. His car was his prized possession and Eden just took the keys right out of his hands. "I don't know if I can tell you about Eden. I mean it's really not my place, but she had an ex boyfriend that used to control her all the time, and would even abuse Eden. It was only mentally and verbally at the beginning but it became physical. He used to control what Eden would wear, where she would go, who she would do with. All down to what Eden would eat. Eden woke up with a pounding headache. She had way too much to drink last night. She was in her bed and looked down to see Astrid sprawled out on her floor. She looked like she fell from the bed last night. The blond sat up and at once, memories started invading her mind. She remembered Malakai's words, him kissing her neck and then dragging her to the dance floor. She remembered Malakai's hands on his waist, Eden's back against Malakai's chest as Eden's own arms were around Malakai's neck. She remembered dancing sensually to the music, she remembered Malakai's hands exploring her body. And before she could remember anymore, a groan came from the floor, or more specifically, the girl on her floor who seemed like she just woke up. "Give me a sec Addi, I'll give you some aspirin." She left her apartment in Malakai's car and arrived at the agency in 10 minutes. God she loved this car, she really wanted to keep it but she knew she couldn't.
