The next day Eden was sitting in Malakai’s office when Ethan ran through the door, without knowing this time so Eden knew it was serious as she stood from her chair.

“What is it?” She asked.

“Elijah. He escaped.” Ethan said and Eden’s eyes widened. Shit, this wasn't good.

“How the fuck did he escape?” Eden demanded.

“He was in the custody of the August Mafia, but when they had their backs turned, he made a run for it. He was handcuffed but they didn't bound his legs. There was a car waiting for him around the block and he got in. They were stolen licence plates so we couldn't find them immediately.” Ethan explained and Eden sighed. She needed to stay calm.

“Okay, thank you. I'll figure something out and let you know.”Eden said and Ethan left. Eden sat down and leaned back in the chair.

“I can't do this Kai.” She whispered with her eyes closed. She opened her eyes and started thinking how she could deal with situations like this. What would Kai do? She didn't know, Malakai wasn't exac
