03: Found You, Mate

When I got home, I immediately parked in the garage and got out of the car. I took a quick step as I walked into the house but then when I saw Betty and mom frowning at me on the couch I just want to run out of the house and drove somewhere again.

"Where have you been, Conrad? I've been waiting for you here since forever." Betty said exaggerating every word she said but I just ignored her. She can be so annoying at times but I love her so it's okay that she's annoying me.

"I'm not in the mood to party, Betty. Why don't you just invite Luther?" I said to her and was about to walk upstairs when mom suddenly blocked my way, her stares were like a dagger to me.

"I already told your friend that you're coming with her to that party," Mommy told me causing me to raise my brows at her.

"What? Shouldn't I be the one to decide if I will come or not?" I asked mom in surprise and she acted like she was thinking deeply but I'm sure she was just trying to annoy me even more.

"But I am your mother, would you rather go with Betty to the club or we'll go to the pack house and I'll ask alpha Ryker to throw a party for your birthday and we'll invite everyone? Sounds like a good plan, eh?" Mommy said to me causing me to frown at her especially when I heard Betty laugh at me because she knew at that moment that she won.

"No! I'll go upstairs and I'll just get dressed. I kind of want to go clubbing right now." I responded to mommy and walked quickly up to my room. I know that mom wasn't joking, I know that she meant it when she said that she'll ask Ryker to throw a party at me and invite everyone in the pack, I fucking hate it. The people of the Moon Shadow Pack are kind to me but I'm not used to interacting with a lot of people, I'd rather just go to the club and watch Betty and her other friends get wasted, they're not scared of getting batshit drunk in the club because they have mates that will take care of them. And at least in the club even though there are a lot of people I am not obliged to socialize with them.

When I got to my room I immediately undressed and took a quick shower. I chose to wear a dark tee-shirt, blue jeans and I go with sneakers because they're comfortable if ever I got drunk in the club and I unconsciously dance. After I got dressed, I went down again to the living room where I caught Betty sitting on the couch and eating the cake that mom made for my birthday.

How dare she eat my cake?

"Your car or mine?" I asked Betty but she just raised an eyebrow at me.

"My car." She replied before placing the small plate on the table.

"Let's go, Betty, I'm going home at 8 PM," I said to her and invited her out of the house, I did not even bother to say goodbye to mom because it looks like she is no longer at home, I think she went to the pack house to visit Maddox.

"What? Don't be a killjoy, Conrad, the real party at the club is just starting at eight o'clock. You need to get wasted, don't worry Luther and I will take care of you if that happens, we'll take you home safe and sound." Betty said but I just ignored her as I put my arm around her shoulder and we walked out of the house together.

"Give me the key," I said to Betty and extend my palm in front of her, she just smirks at me before giving me the key to her car. Betty and I immediately got into the car.

"We're going to the usual club?" I asked Betty and she just nodded in response so I turned on the car engine and slowly drive towards the club.

A few minutes later, Betty and I have arrived at the club, I can't help but feel a little bit uncomfortable as we entered the club and there I saw my classmates and Luther at the round table, it looks like they didn't wait for me and Betty anymore and they're drinking already.

"Hey! You started drinking without us?" I said and slightly laugh causing my classmates to laugh as well before they moved closer to each other to give me and Betty a space to sit.

"Tsk! There's still a lot of unopened bottles here, Conrad." Luther said and he suddenly handed me a bottle of beer which I immediately accepted. We start drinking, bottle after bottle, I only listen to my classmates as they talk.

Until I realized that I already had ten bottles of beer, I felt a bit dizzy as I walked towards the middle of the club where many people were dancing to happy music.

"Partyyy!" I shouted and jumped and danced with people I can't recognize anymore because I felt so fucking dizzy. While I was dancing, I was suddenly stunned when the fragrant scent of vanilla and rosemary scent seeps through my nose again.

"Mate," I said softly to myself and looked around but I was fucking disappointed because the people I saw around me seemed to be floating. Why the fuck are they floating?

I shuddered as I walked and followed the fragrant smell of my mate, the smell of the people here in the club mixed with the fragrant scent of my mate and I was thankful that my mate's scent is dominant enough. Until I realized that I was already outside the club, I can't help but heaved a sigh when my mate's fragrant scent dominates which means that I'm so close to my mate.

As I was walking trying to find my mate, I accidentally bumped into something and all of a sudden there was electricity flowing through my body, I can't explain how I feel right now. Even Treiko– my wolf, is howling in so much joy and pleasure inside me.

"Mate," I said again and tried my goddamn best to look at the face of the man I bumped into but I was so fucking drunk, I was still dizzy and it feels like I'm looking with a man who doesn't have a face.

"Hello, mate." The man said and I just closed my eyes when I heard his sensual voice as if he's trying to revive the lust I'm suppressing within myself.

"You're drunk, mate, let me take you home already." The man said again and I just gasped when the man suddenly lifted me, I just clung to his strong arm and scoop my face to his muscular body. My mate's fragrant scent is so calming that I can't help but smile as he carried me. I don't know where he is taking me but I really don't care as long as I'm with him.

Shit! I can't believe this but I am ecstatic that I finally found my mate.
