LUCIEN
I knew Dominic wouldn’t just wave the white flag and hand over his daughter to me. So when his pack challenged me, I wasn’t surprised.
I felt an adrenaline rush spike through my arms to my fingertips as the wolves of his pack lunged at us. I summoned my power and focused it on my palms.
The first wolf lunged forward, teeth bared, but I was ready. I sent a blast of telekinetic force toward the animal, throwing it back with ease. The look of hesitation on the other wolves caused a sly grin to form on my lips. I didn’t need to shift and use my pack men to fight against the Blood Moon Pack because they were nothing compared to what my pack was capable of. It was lucky for them that they didn’t enrage me to the point where I would shift.I raised my arm and summoned another burst of energy, sending a wave of force that knocked back several wolves at once. They yelped and growled, but I was relentless. I attacked again and again, using my powers to toss wolves left and right, never giving them a chance to regain their footing. I didn’t intend to kill them. I would need the Blood Moon Pack’s strength in the near future.I smirked as they fought, reveling in the thrill of the battle. The wolves were soon scattered, lying defeated on the ground. I was amused at how stubborn this pack was. The wolves didn’t give up so easily and it took me quite some time to put them in place.
I considered the possibility that Dominic might try something sneaky, but he and Asphalt were preoccupied with Avery. She was the perfect target for me, so I cast my power on her, one that would only torment her with nightmares and illusions.
“Stop it, please. I’ll come with you.” a soft voice called out, causing me to pause. My gaze landed on a stunning raven-haired beauty who was pleading for her mother’s safety. Her piercing purple eyes met mine, and she rose to her feet with grace.
I stopped my attack on the defeated wolves, who were still struggling to regain their footing. Evangeline stood before her parents, her eyes filled with determination.“I can’t let Mom and the rest of my pack be killed because of me. If having me is what Lucien wants, then he can have it. Just leave my pack alone and take me with you,” she declared with a firm voice. The corner of my lips curled into a smile, impressed by her bravery.
She held her ground, her heart pounding in her chest, but she didn’t cower. She was prepared to face me, something that no man or wolf, except for Dominic Dark and Asphalt, could do. It was clear that she was their daughter, a true Luna, ready to defend her loved ones to the bitter end.
“I will come with you. But not as your slave, but as your…” her voice trailed off as if she was lost in deep thought. I couldn’t help but feel intrigued by her every move.
As I stood before her, I noticed something unusual about her body language. Despite my intimidating presence, her cheeks were flush with blush and her body hummed with excitement. It was as if she was responding to me in a way that left me confused. She was a wolf, yet I couldn’t sense her wolf. I knew why.I grew increasingly impatient, unable to resist the urge to know more. “As my what?” I asked, my voice filled with impatience. At that moment, I felt her heart skip a beat. Her gaze met mine, and there was no mistaking the desire in her eyes.
Was she attracted to me? The thought brought a smirk to my face, as I wasn’t surprised by the notion. Women from my pack had always died to get a taste of me, but the idea of Evangeline having an interest was particularly exciting.“You will not treat me like a slave. I am the respected daughter of the Alpha, and I demand to be treated as such,” she commanded with a steady gaze, fixing her eyes on me. I had thought she would submit easily, but I was quickly proven wrong. The girl was full of surprises and it was undeniably entertaining to see her defying expectations.
A chuckle left my lips as I stared at her burning eyes, “I’m not negotiating, princess. Things will happen as I see fit. You seem to be under the impression that I’m here to offer you a ticket to Hell.” she was living in a fantasy world if she believed that I was inviting her for a leisurely five-day, six-night stay at my pack house. The truth was that she was going to be under my roof, but only for as long as I was entertained by her presence. She approached me with bold strides, taking me by surprise. She stood before me, and as I took in her features from up close, I was struck by her beauty. The sweet scent of citrus and jasmine wafted toward me, stirring my manhood to pulsate in aching arousal. The silence between us was filled only with the sound of her racing heart as she met my gaze, her eyes locking with mine.
A purple fire blazed in those determined eyes. She nervously bit her lower lip, and I felt a strong urge to capture those lips with my own. I knew she wouldn’t mind if I kissed her. Despite my desire for her, I remained still, not wanting to reveal the full extent of my hunger for her.
“I am not delusional. You will take me with proper respect, or you can take my dead body with you,” she said and my smirk only widened.
She was a fascinating creature, willing to sacrifice her life for the sake of her pack. Though brave, she had no idea what she was up against. Her unwavering confidence was irritating to me, as I was used to people quaking in fear at the mere mention of my name. So I intensified my power on her mother, causing her to whimper in pain.
One of my warriors spoke, “You have a big mouth, talking to our Alpha like that. I can make good use of it.” He took a step forward, reaching out towards Evangeline with malice and lust in his eyes. But my rage boiled over as I snatched his arm mid-strike, preventing him from laying a hand on her. A threatening growl slipped through my throat, causing the hairs on the back of his neck to stand in fear.
“Did my orders include touching her?” I asked, my voice precariously low. As I held the fucker’s arm in my grip, my mind raced with a barrage of thoughts. Thoughts of the numerous ways I could make him pay for daring to lay a hand on Evangeline. His face went pale as fear crept up on him, and he started to tremble beneath my grip. It was evident that he had received the message.“N-no.” “Then step away or else I’ll slice your dick into pieces.” Another deep growl rumbled from my chest, my Alpha dominance exerting its power over the warrior, making him quiver under my intense gaze.“Y-yes Alpha.” he stepped back. I turned back to her, “I don’t need your dead body. But you will have the corpses of your entire pack painting this floor if you don’t accept my deal.” I could see Evangeline’s body tense, and I could sense the fear creeping in, even though she was trying hard to hide it. Her nails dug into her palms as she tried to steady herself, and the paleness that spread across her beautiful face made my chest ache in a strange way. Usually, I relished the sight of others trembling in fear, but this time felt different.Fuck this shit!
With a flick of my wrist, I released Avery from my hold, her shaking form finally stilling. Dominic’s eyes grew wide with shock as he realized I had stopped my attack on her. It was a strange feeling for me, I never showed mercy to anyone, yet here I was releasing this woman. The thought didn’t sit well with me. “You have fucking twenty-four hours,” I growled, turning away from her. Just as I took a step, I felt a sudden surge of energy from behind. I knew what was coming before it even happened. Dominic attacked me from the back. But just as he was about to make his move, he suddenly froze in mid-air. He couldn’t move his arms, no matter how hard he tried. I saw his wolf Asphalt who revealed himself through Dominic. His eyes were blazing red and his canines jutted out, but it was all for naught. As I stood there watching him, a smile spread across my face as I saw him trying fruitlessly to move his arms. A light chuckle escaped my lips as I reminded him of the simple fact he had forgotten. “Oh my dear Asphalt, these mere mortals have tampered with your mind, causing you to forget the most important thing. When you make a deal with the devil, you are mentally bound to him. No matter what you want, you will always obey his commands.”He was forced to his knees by the bond, unable to attack the one he had made a deal with. Despite his defeat, he shot me a fierce glare and declared, “You won’t get away with this. I won’t let my daughter fall into your clutches.”Oh, I was scared. I leaned in closer to him, our gazes locked in a battle for supremacy. Asphalt was one of the few people who could possibly challenge me. If it weren’t for our deal, he might have started a battle that would have been worth my time. I spoke to him in a challenging tone, “I’d like to see you try. First, break the bond you made with your own words.”********************************************EVANGELINETo my surprise, Lucien released Mom, but when he announced his intentions to come after me, I realized I was trapped in this deal. While I couldn’t fault my Dad for making the agreement, especially given the dire circumstances he faced at the time, I didn’t want my pack to suffer because of me.Just as Lucien was turning to walk away, I saw movement out of the corner of my eye and my heart skipped a beat when I realized it was my father. He was launching an attack on Lucien from behind, but he never made it as he froze in mid-lunge.“Dad!” I shouted, holding my mother in my arms. Her eyes were closed and her skin felt cold to the touch. I motioned to one of the warriors nearby, asking them to take her to one of the nearest rooms in the mansion to rest.Dad was trying to move, growling with bared teeth, and I realized that it was Asphalt who was trying to fight Lucien. However, no matter how hard he struggled, he seemed unable to move. Lucien simply stood there, his lack of
EVANGELINE Mia’s gaze shifted between her parents, her brow furrowing in confusion as she waited for their response. Getting nothing except a contemplating silence, she cleared her throat and finally spoke up, her voice laced with uncertainty. “So?” she asked, her eyes darting back and forth between her Uncle and Aunt. “I don’t like the proposal, but Marshmallow has a point. Potato can’t shift and the wolves can try bullying her. Though she’s capable of protecting herself, we can’t be too sure. It's better if she has someone with her.” Uncle Sky said, using the names he used to call us when we were kids. I was Potato and Mia was Marshmallow. It was an odd combination but Uncle Sky wasn’t Uncle Sky if he didn’t come up with odd names. “Then let me go with her,” Sean’s voice came from the back and we turned to look at him. He was also with us when we entered back home and probably heard the conversation. He looked at me, “The Alpha and Beta considered me worthy of the title of the
EVANGELINE The sound of growls, claws clashing, and the burning bitter smell of smoke rising from the flames around me consumed the forest in its fierce embrace. I watched as my dad’s wolf Asphalt fought ten wolves simultaneously. I could feel the heat of the fire blazing through the forest as a thick blanket of smoke crept between the trees, the smell of burning wood and ash stinging my nostrils. The burning flames that engulfed the area shone off of the wolf's fur, illuminating their movements as one of them bit onto Asphalt’s shoulder, sinking its canines deep into his flesh as blood bathed Dad’s black fur. I wanted to kill that wolf for hurting him, but my legs felt boneless against the ground I fell on a few seconds ago. My stomach churned in agony as the strength of my mother's spell slowly began to take its toll on both me and my wolf. I felt a wave of nausea crashing against the walls of my throat, sharp and intense like a venomous poison. It burned its way up relentlessly,
LUCIEN As I towered before my pack warriors, I lowered my index finger to the map laid on the table in front of us. My finger traced a circular shape around the area that the rogues had vanished from, my finger coming to tap three times on the spot. “These rogues have a portal, a transportation device that allows them to travel anywhere at will,” I explained, my voice stern and commanding. “Think of it as a larger version of Anywhere door.” One of my warriors furrowed their brow, “What’s an anywhere door?” they asked. I scowled in response, “You don’t watch anime? How can you not know what’s an Anywhere door?” my shock was quite visible on my otherwise stoic face. My men exchanged confused glances, “Well, we’re not sure what you’re talking about, Alpha..” they said hesitantly. With a bored sigh, I looked at them sternly. “I can’t believe I have fucking pack members who don’t watch anime,” I spat. “Here’s your assignment: before we meet again to discuss our plan, watch twenty e
LUCIENMy eyes were fixed on the three unexpected guests who had somehow infiltrated the passage of our transport and were now seated on the cool dark marble floor of the foyer of my pack house. “How the fuck did you three come here?” it was impossible for anyone to enter our pack house without the required knowledge to access the hidden passage leading to the Hollow Hills. They couldn’t have done it unless—-my gaze shifted to Caleb whose eyes widened and he shook his head. His words came out in a stutter as he lifted a shaky finger to point at his footwear, “I-I… she was holding onto my leg just before we teleported.” “It was a piece of cake,” the brunette spoke with confidence. “I just acted as if I had given up on the fight, and then grabbed onto his leg as he teleported. I happen to know how you demonic wolves can transport, so I utilized some of my own powers to shield Sean, David, and myself before we made the leap.” She looked over at Caleb, a smug smile playing on her lips.
LUCIEN Evangeline’s lips curled as she snarled at me, “You think we are scared of your lousy pack?” I noticed the tiny black dot on her moving chin; a beauty mark. It wasn’t visible until one was close enough. I chuckled, “Yes, you should be,” I declared, my voice crisp and dauntingly deep, “Once you step foot in the lion’s den, there is only one expected outcome.” My strides were purposeful as I moved closer until I was hovering just beside her. In a voice just above a whisper, I uttered, “The lion will consume you.” She narrowed her eyes as she glared back at me, her body tense beneath mine. Her pulse raced under the veil of her milky skin and my proximity to her body caused a foreign electric sensation to charge every breath I took. It had taken everything in me to not grab her by her waist and taste those inviting lips. “If you are so bold in your words, then prove your bravery and fight us hand-to-hand like a true wolf. " Sean, the blonde-haired warrior, challenged. I met h
EVANGELINEI slowly opened my eyes and groaned in pain as a searing sensation shot through my right shoulder and up my neck. I winced, and as I looked to my left, I found Mia's brown hair sprawled out on the mattress. I quickly realized this was not my bedroom, as the bed sheet was an unfamiliar sad pale white color, not the bright pastel pink. My eyes darted around the room frantically, my heart racing as I took in the sight of the gloomy stone walls that surrounded me. I could feel the trauma of the night before that day, the memory of Lucien kidnapping me as the Emerald Gem Pack attacked us playing back in my mind. Massaging my forehead with the tips of my fingers, I let the reality of the situation settle into my memory. I may not have known much, but one thing was certain: we had to get out of this place as soon as possible. Before I had a chance to think ahead, a loud bang resounded from the door, startling Mia awake. Her tousled hair fell over her face, her expression one of
EVANGELINE The cold air of jealousy hit my chest as I noticed every girl in the mess hall ogle at him as he strutted inside with the grace of a panther. His taut arm muscles bulged tight against the fabric of his black shirt as his footsteps thundered into the mess hall and his lips hid under the veil of his matching black mask. Before him, I used to think masks were bland. But Lucien wore it like a fashion statement. A swathe of unruly silver hair fell casually on his forehead, casting a dangerous yet alluring shadow on his stark emerald eyes that scrutinized me. It chased my breath away for a heartbeat and the touch of his masculine, minty scent drove Crystal wild as she clawed at my insides, trying to take control of me. I remembered when she had claimed him as our mate and it had to be a mistake. Nonetheless, the bond seemingly hadn't affected him as much as it had affected me since he was a Lycan. A hybrid demonic Lycan to be precise. It made him immune to the emotions of a m
